I hate WCS every day a bit more, don't watch it since it became like this. Makes me really sad to see StarCraft like this.
Looks like I will be sticking to the korean scene even more now, which is not so bad tbh lol

He should go to SKT. Their A-team is all T&Z and desperately needs a strong Protoss. Sure, the team has Tosses, but only ones that nobody remembers, not any top 10 HotS players (according to Stuchiu anyways).

Im sad Patience couldn't get the Visa. But as a Swiss I know how critical my population stands against foreigners, and eSports as well, therefor Im not surprised at all. This will be a big problem for our teams DeadPixels and MyInsanity in the future, sad to see my government fucking up eSports!
But this certainly is not Blizz destroying eSports, this is Blizz trying to fix past errors. In the beginning of WoL there weren't many Koreans on foreign tournaments, hence there was opportunity for foreign players to earn money, for foreign teams to get exposure. But then those organizers started to compete in who gets the best line-ups of Toptier Koreans, soon the foreign players were left in a bad spot. You are saying that the foreign scene had 6 years to build the infrastructure, ok but how? There are Koreans flying over, stealing the show, go back to Korea. Why should anyone sponsor a foreign team trying to build infrastructure?
With this system its guaranteed that the money and exposure stays in the region, therefor it might get more interesting for sponsors. The Koreans playing in our Region now, will have to life here, practice here, and therefor help to develop our scene instead of just coming over to collect money and points. Also its more appealing for young talented players to put a lot of time and effort into this with the perspective of winning highly payed tournaments. After all the foreign scene nowedays is even more behind than it was at the beginning of WoL, but if there is something that can help it, this WCS system is it. And lets be honest, isnt there more excitment and more interest in seeing our local players playing on the highest level (remember Stephano or Naniwa), thats what Blizz wants to see again.
Further Im sure, in the longterm, its required to have a healthy foreign scene to keep Starcraft in foreign event which aren't payed by Blizz...
