My GF games on a 6700HQ/GTX 1060 laptop while I have a 7700K/GTX 1070 desktop. Even with her 6700HQ at stock (3.5GHZ), it is a buttery smooth 60 FPS at the start of matches, but dips down to as low as 15 FPS late game when a lot is going on. I OC'ed my 7700K to a stable 5.1GHZ, and this is probably the best CPU for SC2 within sane limits. With all settings on medium and physics disabled, I was getting 10FPS when I went mass phoenix while my partner went mass lings. Yes you read that right - 10 FPS on a 5.1GHZ 7700K. Admittedly this was an extreme case, but there's not a single consumer-grade CPU out there that can maintain a constant 60FPS for SC2 co-op's late-game, especially when playing swarmy heroes.

For the record... I did see exactly two frames below 30fps going through this at game speed (one to 20 and one to 15), but that isn't bad. I do run it completely max settings 1440p. Until the mid-end late game I am never below 60fps (my stock refresh rate is 100 FPS, but using a g-sync panel so not a terrible deal.) ![]() I'll play a game with stukov in game and throw up a screen for better exactness (although replays in theory put the exact same amount of stress on the game that the original does since all AI and other behavior is off-server).

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah... not sure how much more swarmy it can be really.... Minimums for me are in the 30s, normal run even end-game is pretty much holding around 60. For the record, I run a 5820k at 4.5 GHz with two 980tis (obviously SLI doesn't help on this game.) Maybe the dramatic memory bandwidth advantage I have over dual channel systems is what keeps things from getting absolutely awful minimums... I don't have the answers, only my own results. ![]()

Doesn't help that there are crash issues because of the patch and game is unplayable because of how random they are.

Bombers are sweet in a lot of missions; they track units that you directly target, so you can pick off scary shit like casters, and it's not too hard to time it to help clear waves. Reapers become a lot better with the flying upgrade. I dump most of my money into them, but I always get a couple of hellions just for the aerosolized stim and slow. I've been very impressed with widow mines as well, though they can be hard to use in some missions. Not sure about Horner's units. I don't have self-healing for them yet, but I believe that'll make a huge difference. All of them seem good.

What composition should I be aiming for?

Even with normal difficulty, it seems that I always run out of time before I can get enough parts or kill the hybrid. What composition should I be aiming for? I get mass reapers because they can run around the map quickly. If you have the upgrade for the hellions, get that one and hellions. Wraiths and BCs from Horner. Ignore the first train unless your ally is carrying. Since your ground army is fragile, you will lose a lot of units. However, if you're on top of your macro, you should be fine.

Now it is easier to play as Han and Horner. I also learn to build more widow mines and borrow them in my base as defense (with towers and mag mines).

technically, nobody built ANYTHING with gas except overseers. and they put a lot of his design decisions into the tanks - interactions with zombies, deep tunnel, the spine crawler, etc etc so it makes sense to soft force people into building tanks

Good coordination will get you clear the map Rather quickly

I highly recommend her.

Bombers are tons of fun. Send one out as a scout gain vision of enemy attack waves, then the rest can target a unit for tracking.
