What are the first things to do when the mission begins besides ofcourse taking the fast expansion? What unit composition is good? What units should I snipe with Kerrigan? I always get rolled when there is the first big push coming for Artanis and Zagara at the same time. The strat that was passed around the TLCH thread for it was mass air. Salvage the bunker by Kerrigan and the one south of where the expo is. Take the expansion and a refinery with the extra minerals. Go two port banshee with a couple Science Vessels, eventually add vikings but don't forget to continually make banshees. Keep building walls and you'll be fine. Also remember with automated gas mining you can kill the extractors and take the geysers that Zegara/Artanis have The only time I beat the mission at all was with that mastery mission using this method. EDIT: As to what to snipe, I'm pretty sure I sniped just the void thrashers (which idk if they count toward the 15), 2 BCs, and a Carrier. The BCs may not have been in the save that I actually beat it so it might have been even less I used this strat without much walling and it worked well for me. I even forgot to get armory upgrades. I killed one thrasher with banshees because I reached 15 kills with Kerrigan already. I definitely think I could have killed more thrashers with banshees so Kerrigan can kill more other stuff but I was still able to get the achievement. I'd imagine killing more thrashers with banshees gives you more freedom to use kerrigan for other stuff.
I originally used mass tanks for brutal but this achievement on hard felt easier than beating the mission on brutal at all. Maybe the brutal -> hard difficulty reduction helped me.

I finally got 100% on all campaigns yesterday.
WoL was probably the biggest pain in the ass. I had to replay the whole thing twice. Once to get conversations and play Lost Vikings, and again to do the speed run. The speed run on normal was actually really easy, I even got all the research and I think I still did it in about 4 and a half hours. (Of course I still played brutal on the timed missions; the third and last ones.) The two hardest things to do in WoL was the Drakken Laser mission (kill 50 protoss buildings on hard) and Lost Vikings. I didn't have flying units and it was hard to get up the ramp in the laser mission. In retrospect, I should have used floating barracks. As for lost vikings... well, it took me a while to realize that you can shoot faster than just holding down the space bar. But once I did, and got good at it, it became addictive. I've played it several times now, my high score is 840k. (You need 500k to get all the achievements.)
In HotS, the hardest achievement was definitely the third mission; killing the whole terran base before that queen's reinforcements. The rest of them were pretty fun. Some of the fun mastery achievements of note were killing the hybrids with neuralled terran units, beating the Kerrigan micro mission in under 12 minutes, and beating the first Korhal mission before the last drop pod.
LotV was pretty easy, maybe the easiest of the three to get the achievements, but it was still fun. A lot of them you get with either only DTs or mass void rays. I can't think of any that were especially hard, that had me trying over and over, like with the third HotS mission, but there were definitely a few that I had to try twice, one or two that took three tries. If I had to think of which one was the hardest, it would either be The Host (second last of the main missions) or the Kerrigan laser drill mission, which was the most fun.
I'd say that the hardest achievement to get in all of the campaigns is the Lost Viking gold achievement. I guess that's a little disappointing, since that's not even a challenge from playing Starcraft. The mastery missions (and "Hard" missions in WoL) were really fun, but I wish there were harder ones. I'd like to see some new achievements added. Particularly, achievements that require brutal mode.

Is there any way to see what mission I haven't done on brutal? My achievement shows 18/19 brutal missions completed, but I don't know what mission is missing.

Not sure where to ask this.
I have played a fair bit of the campaign in offline mode as I haven't had internet access. Now I am online. Is there a way to get the achievements for what I did offline? How? Thanks.

Click on master archives and check every mission. You should find one without a brutal completion time.

I don't think so. You will have to do them again.

I think they could have made it maybe a bit more challenging or more achievements, I 100% lotv in about 4 days of buying the game I think.

I do wish there were achievements for brutal mode, similar to the mastery achievements for hard mode. Maybe they can add those in later.

Can't you just try to do the masteries on brutal? Or maybe you want a badge for it?

This has probably been answered a million times, but if I cheat my way through the first few missions does it disqualify me from other achievements?
I've been playing at a pcbang in Korea but I neglected to copy my saves to my external HD so now I'm like 10 missions in but all my progress has been lost.
I suppose I could just set it to casual and blaze through them as fast as I can, but.. meh. This is already a big enough hassle in that I have to re-set and re-download the language to English every time I come..
EDIT: Hm. tried it again and it appears my save exists on the cloud. Wasn't there last time I tried, but.. cool!
