took hours and hours oh my god - are you also trying to get all the achievements on while on Brutal? I'm making the attempt and its RIDICULOUS in this campaign.
Man, this mission on brutal... I gave up last night after I reloaded over and over again for about 3 hours, and did the mission on hard.
I guess I'll try it again with the above tips later this week. I finished WOL and HOTS on brutal (HOTS was the easiest "brutal" campaign so far), and I really want to get LOTV done on brutal as well.
Playing brutal, which missions should I do next afterwards? Korhal or Shakuras? (spoilerfree please ) I was thinking korhal because the Immortal seems useful.

I'm doing it but I've had to skip 2 or 3 so far I think. Mission 19 might be impossible .

Very little difference either way, I did Korhal because it seemed like it would come next logically. Shakuras gets you another person on board though!
I didn't like this mission because the map triggers and enemy spawn events are just so arbitrary, especially when you take out the second to last power node and you get attacked by a huge wave of enemies.
I essentially cheesed this mission on Hard by running around with blink stalkers to kill all the defenses without touching the nodes themselves and then yolo'd the nodes quickly once all of them were undefended and ignored the units attacking my base at the end. I didn't hit the 15 minute mark, but at that point I didn't care about that anyways. The first time around I also destroyed the protoss base and built my own, but protoss and hybrid units still spawned in it anyways, which was annoying. This mission was definitely not the best mission Blizzard has ever created.
At one point I was so poor that I needed more resources (2 more cells left) and I attacked and destroyed the Zerg base and expanded there. Unfortunately the Zerg attack waves literally spawn in your base still and I had no choice but to give up. I restarted and did much better, and for the last major attack wave I was lucky enough to have it synced up with the natural periodic attack wave with hybrids and ultras. At one point I had enough if that shiet so I left 3 zealots at the side nydus locations, had my army run down middle and blink back into my base. By the time I won my base was dead and I only had 8 stalkers. The ultimate base race.
just finished it on brutal. I took the "middle" core before the zerg one. Maybe that's why I didn't got overrun as the others. I finished pulling my probes cause I had no more ressources in my base. Took me 2 hours to finish it, in 39 minutes. Respect for those who manage the "less than 15 minutes" achievement on brutal
Thought it was easier than the prologue mission where you don't mine gas (in brutal).
Massed stalkers with upgrades and expanded to the two bases. I had to reload a few times due to being out of position but that was it.
My main tip would be to leave the power cells alive as long as possible instead of killing them straight away, and have some units in position for the nydus and warp prisms when you do.

Which ones did you skip? I don't want to call any of them impossible but I'm having such a grind on Last Stand getting to 1.8 billion.

Definitely not impossible. I got them all on my first completion of the mission. Check out the Mission 19 thread for my strategy+other discussion

Yeah that was ridiculous. I got crushed by some fungals the first time and then couldn't defend my base. Second time I got it by expanding quickly (ish) and investing a lot more in static d. I felt like I kind of had to abuse the AI and drag out small clumps to stutter step or lead into cannon fire. Losing any units at all is bad news on that mission.
If anyone manages to get the 15 minute challenge on brutal I'm buying them a beer lots of beers.

That one was pretty easy for me actually, I got to 1.9billion on my 2nd try. I'll go through them again a bit later and see which ones I think are super hard, most of them aren't that tricky. The ones I skipped were mainly because I wanted to finish the game first then go back.

Ah, I forgot about Disruption Web. I was trying to hold the very last wave with tons of forcefields but then my army would be too weak to hold their armies.

I'm just doing it on hard, but I've found one of the versions of DTs to be absolutely indispensable and have become THE core unit of my army since they're so absurdly good. (They're DTs only they don't die...)

Alright I checked and the only ones I skipped are: The Spear of Adun (this one), Harbinger of Oblivion (Kerrigan level), Steps of the Rite (Terazine fog level) and Salvation (last LotV level). I got very close on Kerrigan/Terazine levels without that much retrying so they shouldn't be very difficult with some brainstorming. The last one seemed impossible to me (the last push they make is insane) but it turns out Corsairs are pretty good so I was totally wrong. Spear of Adun is the hardest probably.
