The funny thing is that ST is apologizing... Why ? It's not like they did something wrong. The situation on the road was bad and they couldn't make it. Can't see what is their fault. Instead of apologizing they should confront KeSPA and ask for rescheduling of the match.

If I'm late to work because of traffic, it's still my fault, not the road's. edit: Timely example. it's snowing here today, so I'm leaving an extra half hour early to make sure I get to work on time or early.

Of course it's your fault if you get late, but you don't get fired if you arrive a little late. Especially if your team agrees to wait for you. Your argument makes no sense whatsoever.

If you read Wax's tweet in the OP it seems that they were literally trapped and unable to move. Dunno how you foresee that

Never mind the fact that it is supposed to be a live broadcast. One team managed to make it in time, all the spectators were there in time, but let's blame the traffic and snow because we are the e-sports mob. Stupidity on this forum always seems to reach a new height.

Dunno how you foresee that Nothing short of the entire tunnel collapsing would block the Korean traffic from moving completely. I don't buy this at all, and I've lived here for the past 8 years driving all over the place. Besides, the navigation system on this country is probably the top of the line.

After all, this is e-sports and we should be able to do whatever we please, because we demand it! Never mind the fact that it is supposed to be a live broadcast. That's pretty stupid and I'm glad that this isn't handled like that in my countries.

It's not possible to get stuck in traffic in Korea? Wow.. Oo

You are right, so let's delay the game until the delinquent team shows up - could be today or tomorrow, but delay it at all costs because we could careless about everything else but to watch these two teams duke it out. Nothing could be more important, right?

I understand that people here wanted to see the games and are pissed cause it didn't happen, but following the schedule is not "a stupid rule".

Nothing could be more important, right? Sorry but you aren't making much sense. You're acting like some catastrophe would have befallen the event had they waited. Believe me I would be all for a system where there were rolling match forfeits. For example I think an 0-1 deficit for being half an hour late would have been reasonable with possible increases if they were even later. This is just stupid. It hurts the competition. Most importantly it hurts the spectators who showed up and didn't get to see any games

It matters because "integrity of competition" isn't a measurable fact, it's a subjective perception. And right now, the majority of viewers - not to mention flabbergasted Korean players, if their tweets are any indication - subjectively perceive the integrity of the playoffs to have been compromised. Whether KeSPA will care is up to them.
