That's pretty damning - that's one of the simplest things to check. It suggests they did not playtest the version of the map they made live.

It's not because it's different, it's because the things-that-are-the-same are broken. The complaints I've read are that it's too abusable by blink and you can't take a 3rd. It has nothing to do with the center or the pseudo-island concept. fwiw I like it best out of the blizz maps, but I would change the layout to better support the concept if it were up to me. or I'd pass it on to a better mapmaker.

Love the new maps and the harder to take third bases.

Not liking foxtrot and deadwing, woulda preferred sejong/merry or even overgrowth, but oh well.

It has one path through the middle. Everything else is blocked. Counterattack in TvZ? Yeah, counterattack them damn rocks!!!!!!!! 3rd choices? Overrated! Strategical depth, who needs that? Two base setup? For free, 1-wide ramp, so much fun to play against two base allins that can go completely retard greed early. Even if that map turns out balanced which would be a small miracle... how much fun is it to play?

i love them! and they are getting rid of all the maps i vetoed…kim blink kejong station, nimbus aka zerg surround heaven, and overgrowth aka mech city. Catallena and foxtrot much more fun!

Cool maps, I'm interested to see how they play out!

I think everybody's so goddamn negative though whenever Blizzard does anything ever. The decision to remove KSS and Overgrowth and what not make a lot of sense as we've had them for more than half the year and the repitition becomes a little dull. I think new maps, as weird and maybe stupid as people think they are based on looking at them for the first time, can create absolutely amazing games.

Also stop hating on Foxtrot, it's made some fantastic games!

is 12+ bases map the norm these days? And wheres the like of Emeral Plaza or Bridgehead?
I thought Proleague would cure our soul with a few awesome maps but it looks like they are on the same boat with Blizzard too. how sad!
