You're essentially asking for a collapsible tower that rebuilds the tower bit a few seconds after dropping on the path. Self-renewing collapsible towers, then.

Self-renewing collapsible towers would be cool for some niche positions on maps (opening up a new attack path to a third / a back-door to a main / etc) and open up some diversity for map makers.

Why not?

As a protoss player, when new maps are released I always like to find cannon rush spots. The most imba cannon rush spot I found so far is on Expedition Lost: http://i.imgur.com/XpxmFpJ.jpg

You only need 2 pylons, and your probe can jump through the pylons when building the cannon. Also this cannon rush spot covers the natural ramp, so zerg can't send drones out to get extra expansions or send lings to be aggressive. The only positive news I can tell to zerg players is that you can break the rocks in your main instead of breaking through the cannons to secure an expansion, that's also a reason why I think it's not worth adding more than 2 cannons to contain the zerg natural here.

Nice they actually are introducing a community map, too bad it's also with Blizzard maps instead of some other community work.

Blizzard is adding these shitty maps, so when they release LotV beta people will be impressed how good the new maps are compared to these ones.

Im 100% sure these maps were made 3 days ago when someone realized " Oh shit we dont have new maps ?". Just look , 2011 maps from community were better.

Inferno Polis ultra clear vote for any Zerg. It's not like T and P can blink / warpin drop comfortly from main to third and back.

I think the worst map is Secret Spring, there's just so much imbalance in that map, and it doesn't even encourage any fun games. Protoss has to 2 base all in, since 3rd is so hard to take. When protoss does immortal all in vs zerg for example, you can forcefield the ramp to zerg's main+nat and that's a free 3rd for protoss to kill. And if it still goes into macro if somehow both players don't all in each other, it'll be a boring split map game with how the map is designed.

love it how so many are hating on blizzard. :-/
I think it was okay to remove KSS and Overgrowth (they got old), and MGR wasn't the most balanced map.
I would have liked Nimbus for another season.
Not sure about Secret Spring, but the rest looks rather promising. We'll have to see
