http://www.sclegacy.com/news/1397-legacy-of-the-void-campaign-panel A lot of it is about some missions, mission hub, and art. Like HotS, the player can choose from a few different forms for some units. You can also call down orbital laser strikes from your capital ship. Also, some story spoilers + Show Spoiler + The Protoss, during the events of the past two campaigns, have been trying to rebuild on Shakuras. The Templar and the Dark Templar sought unity, but old grudges are rising up to split the two sides. Artanis, the hierarch, is responsible with bringing all the Protoss together. He, along with a Golden Armada, seeks to reclaim the old homeworld of Aiur. This is where Legacy of the Void begins. Zeratul, however, is lurking in the shadows and will bring another dark prophecy in Legacy of the Void. Amon, the fallen Xel’Naga, returns with plans to set the universe ablaze. The story will focus on how this plan collides with Artanis and his goals. After the epic invasion of the Golden Armada upon the Zerg forces, Amon reveals himself and corrupts the Khala. Hordes of Hybrids are unleashed, chaos ensues, and Artanis, along with a few loyal followers, have to do the unthinkable: they must sever their nerve cords to sever themselves from the Khala and become safe from Amon’s corruption. In summary, the player will assume the role of Artanis and attempt to unite Protoss factions, turn Protoss society into one that doesn’t use the Khala, and ultimately retake their homeworld. Legacy of the Void will challenge everything the Protoss know about their civilization and defeat an ancient evil. The mic is passed off to Jason Huck, Lead Level Designer of Legacy of the Void.

Everyone laughed at it and thought it was easiest unit ever as you just had to right click back. It turned out, however, that the right-click was still extremely microintensive as you constantly had to react to what the enemy was doing. I don't believe that micro is about spamming as many buttons. Rather, I believe that you create fun and skillfun interactions by rewarding players for reacting to what the enemy is doing. Those who can do this as fast as possible can make plays that are really fun to watch. Going back to the Cyclone, I don't believe that this is the case for this unit. If blizzard really had a specific skillful interaction in mind, I am sure they would have showed it to us during the video. Tbh, it looked like they had no idea what second unit to give to terran. But I think this unit would suck regardless of whether it attacked while moving or not. I still think the phoenix is one of the worst units in the game, but at least it has the lift ability for SOMETHING interesting. If you're gonna be able to shoot freely while moving at least give it some limitation... Like a cooldown, then can't shoot after cooldown is over (like a missile barrage). Or you can only move backwards/forwards when activating it etc. Some kind of trade-off.

The Terran stuff I'm not even going to comment on. The picking up Siege Tanks with dropships seems really stupid and way too easy to abuse. As for the new terran units, I'm not holding my breath. Remember the warhound? rofl. Didn't take too long for it to be taken out. I dunno, obviously will have to wait and see during the beta and more videos to see how some games play out but I'm not very impressed by this.

I mean, I guess I have good Artanis memories. But that's crazy. The economy changes very exciting. Community been asking for a less extreme version for a while. Hope it works this way. But completely new game in any event.

You can still be annoying right now though. Running circles in the natural, and blocking with a pylon if you want.

Blizz is just trying to sell as many copies as they can with their last chance for the SC2 saga. Make money design, not make game better design. It genuinely felt like I was experiencing an April Fool's announcement. I'm so humored by the clueless/faithful fanboys and fangirls who still think free-to-play is in the works.

This really sucks and I'm surprised and depressed by it. Not to mention that blizz spent forever resisting changes to the carrier or implementing the lurker or being able to interfere with forcefields.. and now, all of a sudden, it's totally A-ok to do? I don't know how the 12 worker thing will work out (the first thing I thought was that it's gonna weaken proxy 2 rax because mules wont be as big of an advantage)... but the mineral patch change is great and it's along the lines of what I've seen many pros ask for. Basically, it's going to vastly encourage taking more bases. Right now, the returns for taking more bases really isn't that great because you don't gain much more mining and your army supply drops a lot with the additional workers, so this type of change should hopefully make late and mid game more dynamic.

Obviously the reason is to speed up the game and they thought that the elimination of 7pools, cannon rushes, proxy gates, was not enough reason to keep it slow. Some of the early cheeses can be really fun though. You cannot early scout on 4 player maps, vs random. Hatch first and the likes will be much less punishable and harder to block with pylons/other stuff. I feel it removes a lot of depth and what makes this game Starcraft. Also sidenote, worker rushes should be stronger ![]()

I think the 12 worker thing will change over time. We need more than 6, sc2 is different, and reducing the amount of time it takes to get into the action is okay - earlier expansions, earlier stuff is fine. 12 might be too many, but I LOVE that they are looking to change. I LOVE they are considering it. For me, the loss of one base is sad. I like some of the one base plays. If they make the bases mine out quicker one base plays have a MUCH bigger timer on them, and the pay off of the 2nd base is WAY higher if the saturation point is at 16. IF the 16 workers do as much mining as 20 or 26 then it REALLY pays of for the natural and makes the 1 base timing much smaller a window. This is what made BW's one base so much more interesting. The timing for the 1 base play, the window for punishment was different. It was so different. And the 2nd base paid of so much faster and one base play ended sooner because you ran out of minerals faster. But if you eliminate proxy rax, gates, etc, its sad. Some of the best games in BW and SC2 have been cheeses. And if you can't do a one base proxy as Protoss against protoss, or TvZ its a part of the game we could lose forever. If the payoff is worth it then by all means, I will lose them, but I do like seeing pro players hold in base PvP gateways, its beautiful. I'd much prefer a combination of higher base defense/health plus a bonus to damage reduction as it's spawning. Yes, I agree. Pure invuln is imo bad. You can see a drop coming you can see a prism coming. If you arent there to stop it it hurts. But seeing the nydus and being unable to hurt it, its, to me, counter intuitive. Its basically saying: hey even if you prepare, you need to have a LOT of units to kill this and units WILL get out. IMO there must be a middle ground. If its invulnerable while spawning in there needs to be a window where we can kill it before units come out en masse. But I haven't played against it so who knows. I know you see the thing coming, you can put your army there but idk I might wait to see before I do it.
