i'm not worried about the specifics of the unit mechanics right now, to be honest. people who understand the game better than i do will no doubt see all the flaws first, but the point is that they make the changes, not specifically how those changes will play out as they are being presented right now. they filtered out a lot of the stupidly OP and unfun crap in the betas for the first two games and i have no doubt it will be the same this time. the only thing i'm really suspicious of is this talk of altering how the economics of the game work. i definitely need to see that in action before i'm convinced.
the terran units are kind of uninspired though. it seems like they're trying to do the same thing they tried to do with the warhound IE give terran some more early-mid game muscle to deal with annoying unit compositions that were popular at the time. hopefully it works out better this time. from an aesthetic point of view though, they don't have very much personality.
i have no problem with them adding the lurker. it may overlap roles with the baneling, but as long as there are situations where the lurker is better than banelings and others where it is worse, it can only be good to give players more options, right?

wrong thread sorry

Combined with fucking up the economy and making crazy changes to current unit this will certainly be the dead of sc2. I always hated League of legends but maybe i will give it a try. I need a new game if this goes through.
With your drama queen attitude, I hope I don't meet you on league.

I want Protoss to have an actual ground fighting unit that it can use late game in PvT. Archon is a late game unit but gets beat up by Terran ranged units and isn't great. Something that isn't gateway-fragile. Something that isn't Colossus because Vikings will counter it.

I kinda wish they'd given the protoss unit a bit more 'style'. It's basically a giant snow globe like 90% of their units. Sometimes I feel like the Protoss have become my grandma's crystal dishware collection.
Something like changing the unit into some sort of ragey templar that EXPLODES WITH TERRIBLE RAGE -- there are so many things with the exact same mechanics that could just be more badass.
Looking forward to seeing some exhibition matches on a build that has this stuff in it. It's going to be so amazingly insane to watch

I wonder if we are going to see the Herc as a harass unit , if it 1 shots banelings, I mean is it possible to grapple onto workers from low ground then go to high ground? I'm sure they would kill worker lines really fast just by grappling a few into a worker line as surprise lol.

So Disruptor is basically a flying reaver + scarab that self detonates and kills shit around it without damaging itself...
Were you worried that the Reaver would be too hard to use for casual players or something? Because the Disruptor, mothership core, and Oracle look so similar, that it is almost stupid lol...
Why not give Protoss Reaver + Dragoon, remove stalker, remove colossus...
It is really surprizing how underwhelming this seems as a Protoss Expansion, It is like WOL was Terran, HOTS was Protoss, and LotV is Zerg's expansion judging by the units given .....Zerg got everything so cool and amazing...... Looks like they didn't really even spend much time or thought on this lol

David Kim pretty much confirmed that there will likely be another protoss unit to be revealed at some point no?

As for the units...honestly, I like some of the ideas, but in general this really seems to be just inching closer and closer to Warcraft 3, where "micro" is just about targetable abilities and cooldowns.
How is wc3 micro only targetable abilities and cds? I'm seriously at a loss here. Blocking tactics, overall positioning, saving dying units, focus firing(which involve serious decision making) are just a few of other types of micro.

Does anyone know if saturation is max at 16 or 12?? Currently in HOTS, it is optimal at 16 per base, 2 per mineral patch.

i am thoroughly unimpressed.

I can't help but feel disappointed they waited so long for some of these things, especially the changes to the economy. Don't know what they were thinking with HotS.

Hell yeah! SC2 is trending on Facebook
