A lot of the new units and changes intended to "encourage" micromanagement take the difficulty of micromanagement away from the players.
Shuttle - Reaver micro in SC1 wasn't rewarding to do or spectacular to see because of the amount of damage that was done, it was cool because it was a very fragile combination when harassing and fighting in big army battles. Even when Shuttles had the speed upgrade, you had to show a high level of control versus a competent player who will be making decisions on when to focus fire the Reaver or Shuttle.
These changes follow the spirit of the more subtle HOTS changes like the Worker Counter, All Army button, Medivac Booster, etc. Yes you see better worker saturations, more Thor pickups, and more amassed Terran armies, but it's on the back of artificial design rather than the player's actions.
We're going to "see" units doing more things, but the players are going to be doing less to accomplish these actions.

Seriously love all the radical-ness of the proposed stuff. Some of it probably doesn't make it out of beta in the same form, but the sheer envelope-pushing craziness is great to see!

Ah yes, I forgot about muta regen. It has to be toned down or removed, it belongs to the things that put too much constraints on the game. Totally agree, and agree with a lot of your previous points too.
I don't understand why things like this are even mentioned. If muta regen/medivac boost/oracles prove to strong with PO only hitting ground, Blizzard will obviously do something about it. But who cares about balance right now? Hell there might even be an extra Protoss unit yet to be announced.

Changes are not final, etc, but if something doesn't make sense, why not mention it ? Psione said they're reading feedback. Muta regen nerf is overdue since they had to make that bandaid fix to ZvZ. Everything has to be created around this strength and it's just sloppy design.

Ragaver, roach, hydra - zerg seems to have a lot of units that do something basically similar with its own particular gimmik. Any room to combine a couple of units here?

btw: Any comments on possible map design? I mean... maps will look completely different from what we're used to now, won't they? :o A Zerg below 5-6 bases won't do shit anymore, if the tweets are correct :-?

As someone mentioned on Reddit, the Siege Tank change actually makes it very comparable to the Reaver, whcih I guess is pretty cool in some way (balance aside).

I feel like I've just been walked to a weird bathroom in the back of a liquor store in some remote town in Mexico and shown something that looks like a cross between a grotesque bowel movement and an alien abortion and been told that that's the expansion for my beloved SC2. How does that make me feel? It's hard to describe, but it's definitely not good.
