WCS Korea is already so stacked. hopefully there is more to give for koreans Can someone PLEASE explain to me why they think this is a good change for Koreans and level of gameplay for viewers? I understand VERY well why it is good for foreigners, they get more spots and will not have to compete with most Koreans in WCS AM and EU. but this hurts the level of gameplay so much, and SO, MANY, KOREANS, who are not GSL Code S top 8 level will be unable to compete or most likely will retire or not be able to make a living with progaming. Do you think Pigbaby, Nestea, the entire Axiom team, Seed, Oz, just to name a few, would be able to compete in GSL Code S? No. So imagine if you saw most of the Axiom team disband, Nestea retiring, Seed retiring. What about jjajki, who just fell out of WCS EU? How would you feel then about this change? I feel like people would then see the consequences of this.

So the tip top foreigners will have a chance to make a decent living by placing very high without worrying about losing to some random Korean jet setter like MVP Finale (Duckdeok) or Pigbaby who flies in for the round of 16 or round of 8.

People don't watch amateur sports for the level of play. For US amateur sports, the people watching are alumni with an almost religious connection to the school they are watching. They are there to connect with their classmates. The game itself is just a sideshow.

I respectfully disagree. "People watch" amateur sports certainly but size of the audience often increases when the level of play is higher, at least in traditional sports. For example, the NFL certainly gets more viewers than the CFL, even Americans prefer watching European football to the MLS, and the MLB/NHL attract massively larger crowds than the minor leagues. I get your point, but I do think skill level does factor into the size of the audience

WCS EU will not change. San is the only player in Premier who lives in Korea/Taiwan full time. If anything HyuN will take San's place and Sacsri should get into Premier as well.

Stephano is already playing in WCS and he got 3-0'd in Challenger by Bly. A foreigner. Also he is focusing on his real life stuff atm I don't think a minor change in EU (which it will be, many EU Koreans including MC, YoDa, First, Jjakji, Stardust, Sacsri, Golden, etc. already live in EU and have visas) will draw him back from school. Also Naniwa doesn't like the game.

By asking that I was simply questionning the ability of FuRRie to appreciate the difference between foreigners and korean calibers. I mean, you have to wonder when, looking at games played by HYPER TALENTED guys that are dedicating their youth to a single game, a spectator goes : this is crap. I suspect that this guys has been told that by an authority, and has taken it to himself to a point where it replaces his own judgement towards the gameplay that he's seeing. I don't know guys, I thought that the level of play found in the top 32 of NA was effing amazing beyond my imagination, so I'm asking : who's in position to personnaly feel like it's not worth witnessing because it's too crappy?
