With the current amount of WCS points, GSL winners aren't even sure to be going to the blizzcon finals. If you look at the people that are probably attending blizzcon, you honestly see a lot of mediocre Koreans that wouldn't even have a shot at winning the GSL. It's really unfortunate, because it just takes away from the quality of blizzcon.

WCS AM will continue to include LatAm, Oceania/SEA, CN, and TW/HK/Macau, you can all stop freaking out about it.

It's not good for the Korean scene if there are just three tournaments with equal prize money as the wcs am charity-for-polt tournament, but if there are like six tournaments with more money with better distribution then it's great. Absolutely. Korea needs to be worthwhile, with rewards that comport with the relative difficulty.

The top heavy nature of the prize money is definitely something that needs to be adressed. Top 8 in Korea is insanely hard, at least as hard as winning a medium-level foreigner tournament. Look at the players Bunny beat to win Gfinity, and now compare that with who DRG had to beat just to make Ro8. That needs to be recognised. As a side note, for everyone talking about how WCS NA now a charity event for Polt, I'll be saving those posts for when he runs into Major again and gets sent packing without winning a map.

The same was always true for SC2, though May will deny it and say "Korea or bust" Blizzard knows what is on the line too, have no boubt.

As much as I would like to address all of your questions and concerns, the reality is we're still finalizing the details of WCS 2015 with our partners. We wanted to share the more important changes immediately so players can start planning for next year. More information on the residency rules and requirements will be communicated to the impacted players directly and will also be updated in our official handbook for 2015. It's safe to say that the changes in progress will have an impact on the points distribution, which is currently being assessed. We will be sharing a comprehensive WCS 2015 announcement later this year. Please stay tuned! Thank you for your continued support and feedback. We really appreciate the StarCraft II community <3 .kim Holy!

Some NA Koreans are likely going to be able to get visas on top of those that already have them (viOLet/Polt) such as Bomber/Revival/ maybe JD/maybe HerO and Check/Leenock/San might be able to go through Taiwan we don't know Shame he most likely is retiring ![]()
