Which has loads of built in sexism.
Sexism is what the world of gaming does best. If your community does have enough sexist, another community will let you borrower theirs.
This thread is beyond hilarious. I love the guys screaming "she's trying to trick me with her sexiness, and she's being totally overt about it!" I always liked Lauren and I'm not gunna freak out if she was naked in a few videos I will likely never level watch. If she can make a fun show, then who cares, really?
Personally, I worry that bringing in women into the gaming computer. As long as they are brought in on equal footing to men and to be well respected by everyone in the community, I would hate for women to be brought in just for the looks and for some entertainment for men or God forbid adult entertainment, that's just wrong.

Pretty sure Lauren Elise has played more SC2 (at least 1v1s on stream) than any of the other women you mentioned. (Dota 2 in Kaci's case)
That's not even close to being true, MS Spyte 20x203030230 better than random models, x porn stars, cam girls that try to get jobs in esports. Large amounts of Asian women are in masters+ (gaming is everything over there, that dumb nerd stereotype does not exist in Asia like it does in USA.) (msSpyte put thousands of hours into streaming since WOL)
Lauren Elise is a good actress and entertainer but please don't compare her small knowledge to other females who have more knowledge than her.

I compared her to Smix and lilsusie and Anna Prosser, who have either never or barely ever streamed 1v1 ladder.

So, to clarify, bring women into E-sports because they're people who are interested in SC2 rather than bring in naked women for entertainment for people who like E-sports. I really don't see how anything your saying applies to this at all.
But the "well respected by everyone..." isn't going to happen, it would be great if it was but some people won't respect some people. A few don't respect Destiny, others don't respect InControl, Kespa, list goes on and on. For the most part though she is getting involved cause she wants to, no one is forcing her into this.
So this talk of "bringing women into SC2" isn't accurate. Scarlett entered into the scene and dominated (dominating is a better word). I think we can see that any worry that women find SC2 fun (Such a fucking weird thing to worry about) is already taken care of.

You can't compare her to those 3.
Smix and Lilsusie are hired to host events. Lilsusie does translations and reporter work for many different games in South Korea, and AnnA Prosser is a Employee of EG that does management and other tasks for the company. Those 3 have long term legit Esport jobs and do a good job.
They work in sports, they don't do random stuff and just pop in like other females do. Can't compare them

That's irrelevant to the discussion of who has played more SC2.
Point is there are plenty of talented girls playing and casting StarcCraft who should have been the preferred choice, Lauren was just blatant eye candy for the boys.
Still the girls have had Day9 for years so I guess Lauren was just balancing things up.

Huh? Since when has Smix, Suzie, and Anna (lol of all people) mentioned have shown good understanding of the game? Suzie probably catches enough from her previous BW experience though. But we don't even know if they touched SC2 at all lmao. Anna especially has not shown great knowledge of the game, neither has Rachel. But they get less flack because they are more established I guess.
