Stop buffing terran mid game. Its already pretty good enough. The widow mine change may be ok, but the medivac change shouldn't go through.

Instead he should do something to help strengthen terran's late game army.

it's not an assumption, it's an inference based on playing and watching the game and understanding how certain things work.

Inferring an unknown change wouldn't work, again, seems really silly to me.

the mass raven/viking game i'm thinking of where zerg got annihilated was bbyong vs ? on frost and yes, i'm aware outboxer is a strong mech map. not sure what your point is. you're also making things up - i never said "changes wouldn't work" i said "buffing mech would cause serious concerns for raven/viking/pf/turret". it's not a leap of logic to say that, because that comp is already incredibly strong when it happens; it's just that in proper meta the way to counter it is by not letting it happen. mech being "viable" (more viable is what you should say, as it's absolutely viable tvz at all levels) will invariably result in terran having an easier time getting up to mass raven/viking/pf/turret. and i know people throw broodlord/infestor around like a joke, but if terran were able to stably transition into that composition i personally think it would be as bad as bl/infestor. it can't really be exaggerated how strong that endgame army is.

setting all of that aside, you're not addressing the main point i was actually making, which is that sc2 mech is stupid, boring and shit design

widow mines and medivacs arent even the issue to terran's "weakness"... at least not the direct issue, i dont play terran so i cant say what i feel the issues are. but bfrom experience playing against terrans, it's the stim health and the units fragility to attacks after stim without a medivac, i feel stim should take lesser health but has less of a buff on attack speed.

ZvT is already hard enough, no need to give additional "safety" to Terran.. Especially after this Hellbat "Immortal all-in" strat

i dont understand these changes, has blizzard lost their principles of making the game hard to master? drop play has been getting easier and easier. agree with the sieg tank change, may effect other things but the game seriously needs a revamp of some kind... they can't keep tweaking these little things that'll cause more problems. they should just approach the problem head on.

making medivacs faster doesn't actually make drop play easier at all, it increases the reward for multitasking. increasing rewards for skilled play is not "making things easy" that's really crazy to say

What medivacs were designed to do they do extremely well. Like I said earlier, the units that go inside Medivacs need changes, not the medivacs themselves.

lol hellbat timings are fine holy shit, all it means is that zerg can't drone blindly forever off of 3 queens and 10 lings

zvp - you have to scout around 6-7 mins to see if you need to cut workers and build a roach warren/spores

To be fair, these "ideas" are probably some panic reaction to the recent forum activity. I'm sure he had no intention to do anything for a long time. They just posted a couple of days ago how they have no balance changes planed at all.

Tank damage buff, stim research time reduced, a ghost buff( snipe or ... movespeed i guess?), a thor movespeed buff, any of those would be quite nice ^^

I think this is totally the wrong way to go about buffing Terran.

Why no't promote styles of play that aren't being utilized? Revert ghost nerfs, or give mech some new ability. Look at how effective the hellbat change was; something like that could definitely help Terran more than these changes.

i'm not sure how posting your own personal speculations about another person's thought process as fact counts as "to be fair"

to be actually fair, "we have no balance changes planned" is a standard noncommital comment to make before any balance tests are made official. no changes have been announced, tests have been announced. before the tests are official, of course they're going to say nothing is planned, because nothing was official at that time

No, if you consider everything has always been 50-50. Every race have always been balanced, but some races are more balanced than others.

No, if you consider everything has always been 50-50. Every race has always been balanced, but some races are more balanced than others.

so the words "overall performance" in point 3 mean nothing? they're not there? it doesn't say "overall performance" in point 2 and it does in point 3. very clear and straightforward to anyone who's not blindly fishing for reasons to trash dkim/blizzard

I completely agree! Can we go OUTSIDE of the 4M's...That is what would make for interesting games!!!! I'm SO sick of tier1 units soooo sick.

I think the poll should include a 4th Option: "Want a buff but not one of the 4M's (Marine/Medic/Marauder/Mine)"
