Watched Ryung v Impact, and the addition of Defilers really makes zerg interesting in the late game. Science Vessels are just badass units as a whole, Irradiate is so good. Time will tell whether this is due to novelty factor, or flat-out higher quality than sc2. Overall I support this mod, it might actually make me click on my sc2 icon again

When you say SC2 Mechanics is there automine as well and smartcasting ? Or just unlimited unit selection ?

I've been always tempted by this mod but i never remember to try it when i'm home

I really hope that sbow grows bigger than normal sc2. The player pool is growing now therefore I am switching now completely to this mod. What really would help growing this even more would be a tournament Existor, I love your sbow banner looks great and I hope kabel/gossen implements it.

I think it would be a good thing to do, there are speels that benefit much more from smartcast than others, which feels just meh overall i think.

You would be surprised to know how many things we tried to implement that simply fell short due to engine limitations.
Actually not limitations, but rather hardcoded unit behavior that we simply could not break. Spider mines, Vultures, Mutalisks, Zealots, Reavers and a lot of other units are slightly different than the ideal version due to limitations.

I am in awe of the guys who did editor magic to at least get close to the intentions we had for those units, but ideally we would need engine fixes to get what we intended.

Could you please include all the sounds and music from BW for the BW units, like Tank sieging and shooting, Hydras "spitting" sound, Zergling quotes etc?

One suggest I'd make is remove the Duality Charge upgrade and roll it into the Singularity Charge upgrade. I think that will make Stalkers more common. Having to get both Void Generator and Duality Charge is a large investment. If it becomes too strong for whatever reason, you could roll it back. I doubt it will be though, and hopefully we'll see more Stalkers in the meta.

I would second that change - no reason why there should be two different upgrades. Added bonus is that players might feel much more inclined to try using Stalkers by the fact that they already have invested in upgrading them.

Have you increased the separation radius and lowered the damage point to allow near instant firing for units like vikings to allow more micro?

It isn't a better BW, if you expect that you will most likely be disappointed, it has the BW spirit though.

The only grip I have so far is that Dark swarm and Plague aren't visible enough, but that's totally fixable.

Just played 2 games and it was the best thing I've played in ages. 24/7 action, alot of multitask and harassment while keeping an eye for the big armys movement. Hope more people give it a try.

You can't be seriously thinking about removing smartcasting, if you want this to get any big. Yes, it will appeal to oldschool BW fans but will completely alienate most of the SC2 playerbase, which is much bigger (even if it doesn't look like that when you read TL). If you don't keep the improvements to the UI that came with SC2, there won't be many reasons left to not play BW instead. Even the authors of the mod appreciate that they don't want to produce "BW in better resolution" - and that's a good idea seeing how little people care about SC2BW,

+1, I think smart casting is a nice feeling for the average player, just be sure no spell could destroy the game with this style of cast ^^
