If this is on (it is by default), newer, unknown replays will be parsed using the latest bundled S2Protocol definition. This means that new replay versions will be supported automatically if the protocol to decode them did not change (else parsing them will fail with an error). The default activation of the above new setting implicitly adds support for 4.2.2 replays. More details about this: When Blizzard upgrades the replay version, most of the times a new S2Protocol definition is required which describes how to parse the new replay version. The release of the new S2Protocol might be delayed for an unknown time, and even when / if it is released, it takes time to release a new Scelight version that contains the new S2Protocol definition. At the same time, often there is no change in the S2Protocol definition that is used to parse the new replay version, so often the latest known S2Protocol is enough / valid to use to parse the newer replay version. However, it cannot be told in advance if the new S2Protocol definition contains any changes. If it does, parsing these new replays will most likely fail. With the Use latest S2Protocol definition setting you can instruct Scelight to use the latest available (bundled) S2Protocol for parsing when a newer, unknown replay version is encountered.

A while back Blizzard released some massive replay packs for developers, they are available here: s2client-proto#downloads These replays were artificially anonymized: player names, player IDs, chat etc. were ripped off from these replays. Up until now, Scelight could not open these replays. This new 6.4.0 version finally adds support for these replays. More details can be read here: Scelight issue #11

I want to add notes for what happened in the game, but I can't seem to find a way to do it. Nope, you can't attach comments to replays. And there is no such external module that would do that, that I know of.

I found blue for Protoss and green for Terran more natural. 2. Build orders tab is not based on user's actions. Build orders tab is populated from a different part of the binary replay (called "Tracker events"–which is the output of the actual game engine), so if you don't see Lurkers there, then "Morph to Lurker" actions are not recorded in this part of the replay.

Mine doesn't support the latest replays, and I don't know if it is broken only for me, or if some wild changes took place on s2protocol to the point it would break what you did for it to always be using the latest version available. Will be able to look at it tomorrow.

I've got a question: How do merged accounts actually work? I managed to merge 2 accounts what exactly does that help me? When open a multi replay analysis the program still lists them as two seperate players and I cant analyze both accs at the same time

When open a multi replay analysis the program still lists them as two seperate players and I cant analyze both accs at the same time Merged accounts works as described in the help: The Multi-Replay Analyzer can merge multiple accounts into one main account, and show the statistics of the merged accounts summarized under the main account. The Merged Accounts specification is a multi-line text. Each line specifies the different accounts of the main account as a comma separated toon list. The first toon must be the toon of the --arbitrarily chosen-- main account: you will see the merged account appear as this everywhere in the Multi-Replay Analyzer. This is particularly useful if you have multiple accounts and / or you play on multiple regions, because by specifying all your accounts as Merged Accounts you can see your overall statistics. Tip: You can aslo use the Merged Accounts feature for accounts other than yours, this is not restricted to one person (e.g. you can also specify the multiple accounts of your friends, but of course place each of your friend on a different / new line). Example: The following Merged Accounts text defines 2 main accounts: 2-S2-1-206154-[SL]Dakota, 1-S2-1-2797613-[SL]Dakota The first main account will be 2-S2-1-206154-[SL]Dakota merging 2-S2-1-206154-[SL]Dakota and 1-S2-1-2797613-[SL]Dakota. The second main account will be 1-S2-1-1234-Bob merging 1-S2-1-1234-Bob, 1-S2-1-1235-Rob and 2-S2-1-1236-Alice. If it doesn't work for you, please post what you entered in the Merged Accounts text area.

3-S2-1-4889330-[TheDOH]Sledgar This is what I have entered in the merged accounts window. So when selecting several replays to analyze as usual the list with all participated players comes up. There both my accounts show up seperately but with the comment "(merged:1)" behind it. So the program knows which accounts to merge but appart from that it does not do anything. I cant select both accounts here to analyze both. I just found my mistake... I had to enter the names in one lines. I had them seperated as they were in 2 lines. My bad
