It's not in program files or anything just in C:\ and it has read/write permission so I'm not sure why it's not working. I ran cmd in admin, and it didn't work there either. Java works fine, I just updated it yesterday figuring it was the issue. It's 8.60 That number is a memory value, not disk space. You do not have a contiguous 1 GB space in memory.
Open "Scelight-win.cmd" with Notepad and find "-Xmx1024m" and try to decrease it, e.g. "-Xmx512m". But note that this will only allow Scelight to use up to 512 MB memory (if needed). Save the cmd and start Scelight with it.

Okay it's functioning. But even after a fresh restart (of comp), I have over 10gb of memory free, and it still has the same error. It has an error where it recognizes the change in the cmd file, and every time it restarts it breaks it again basically. It doesn't download the modules either. I found a hotfix for Vista, but not 7 for memory issues in VMs, but the hotfix didn't work and presumably was put in.

Oops, sorry, I forgot that you can't modify the files that are part of Scelight (if you still do, Scelight will "repair" them automatically).
But not a problem, simply make a copy of "Scelight-win.cmd" (e.g."mystart.cmd"), edit the copy and start with that.

It works now. Thanks.

Hi, i just started using Scelight under linux, works well until now, just one question : when checking the profile of one player, scelight opens a browser : how did you code it ? my default browser is google-chrome and scelight always opens iceweasel (firefox). Which command do you use to open a URL ? there are several shell commands (sensible-browser,x-www-browser, xdg-open) that all open the URL with google-chrome.
Thank you

Thank you Java has support for opening a URL in the default browser (Desktop support). Scelight first tries to do this. This will most likely succeed.
If the above method does not succeed, on non-windows systems the following commands / browsers will be checked in order, and the first existing one will be used:
firefox, google-chrome, opera, konqueror, epiphany, mozilla, netscape
So either the first method sees Firefox is your default browser, or (most likely) the first method fails for you and then proceeding to the 2nd method Firefox is tried first, succeeds and therefore it is used.

Ok thanks. I wrote a small bit of java code to open a url and it actually opened it with firefox although my default browser is set everywhere to google-chrome. If anybody experiences the same kind of problem, the solution was in the ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list file.
You have to remove any instance of iceweasel/firefox there, because java watches this file instead of asking the desktop for the default browser...

is Lotv beta not supported? "could not parse replay"

On October 03 2015 17:01 Saggymidgetbooty6969 wrote: is Lotv beta not supported? "could not parse replay" As previously stated, Scelight does not support LotV at the moment.
And as previously stated, a feature from SC2 (or rather from the map editor) is required to complete LotV support which now looks almost certain that it won't be released during the beta period, only when LotV comes out.
And the situation is even worse: Blizzard is about to completely / drastically change the replay format, to an extent that all previous replays will not be supported in SC2 anymore, only replays that will be saved after Patch 3.0.
For more details on this, see the official Blizzard thread: Upcoming Replay Changes.
Now given that no technical details were released of what / how will be changed, and it is uncertain if we get any official support for parsing the new replay format, it is completely uncertain when and if a LotV compatible Scelight will be released.

They did something similar with the release of HotS though didn't they? Or maybe it was some patch, where they added a lot of new replay functionality that changed the structure of replays? Let's hope it's something that can be worked around again.. If not they better add some of the Scelight features into the game UI..

When HotS came out, they just added some (or a bunch of) new info to the replays.
It may very well be that they will also drop the MPQ format (the file structure and compression format of replays, created 20 years ago and used ever since like in almost all of Blizzard's games) and switch to their new CASC (Content Addressable Storage Container) format which will most likely replace MPQs in all of Blizzard's games. CASC brings many features built into itself like file corruption handling, faster access/processing speed, improved, easier patching, client hotfixing, better support for streaming, easy expandability and more.
You can read more info on their new CASC format in their official blog post: Warlords of Draenor™ Alpha Testing Begins / Introducing Our New File Format: CASC

Released Scelight 6.0 with Patch 3.0 and LotV support.
Details are in the first post. (Re)start Scelight and it will install the updates automatically. It will also notify you of the updates if you have it running.
As of StarCraft II Patch 3.0, Sc2gears can no longer parse replays. No further updates will be released for Sc2gears, only Scelight will be maintained.
An admin who reads this: please update the thread title to:
Scelight 6.0: Patch 3.0 + LotV support Thanks.

Thank you very much for updating the SCELight software - it is much appreciated!
One question re: LOTV replays. Are there any special steps that need to be taken in order to open LotV replays? When I attempt to do so via File --> Open Replay, I receive the following error:

Or you may send the replay to me and I can try it myself... (you can find my email here: Help -> About Scelight)

I just sent you an email w/ a few LotV replays a .txt version of a view log. After setting the "Filter level" to "DEBUG" and enabling "Show Details", the resulting view log was far too long to post via screenshots.
Alternatively, if you'd prefer, I've uploaded the files to my dropbox account and they can be accessed here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v8hqed0zpifdizi/AAA8W8hF4dTO3o8fIPWEfzKYa?dl=0
