Jinho will lose easily in the future. The broadcasters sangmin, hongchul, jiwon, yuyoung, congressman are in league with ea other like park eunji, sangmin, gura, kungran, changyeop were in season 1. And the games in season2 tend to be more team based. Already we see outsiders lee dahye, eunkyul, jaekyung out. At least in season 1 jungmoon managed to kick changyeop.
The insider alliance will definitely win this season. Theres only jinho boxer yoonsun left. I think doohee leans towards the broadcasters.
The main match was terrible. Season1 games are based on logic mostly. 1 or 2 main match decided by betrayal is fine but so many of them so early is totally boring.

Honestly, Yellow has nothing to be scared of against that group. That group has no strong 1v1 players except perhaps Yooyoung so no one is an actual threat in a real 1v1 deathmatch. As seen from season 1, the main matches and death matches will begin to become more and more individual based. I think Yellow and Boxer have an opportunity to advance far especially since Doohee seems to be on their side.
It honestly feels like Yellow and Boxer are the only 2 who haven't betrayed someone on the show.
I don't think the games this season are nearly as good as the games in the first season. This season is all about alliances and influences whereas you could actually win based off of individual skill/savy/smarts last season.

Agreed. Immunity is too liberal this season. I miss the choosing of someone to give immunity to.
meh episode. No real reason to betray like that, it just will make 4 people salty towards you in the future. Well, 3 if everything went right (i.e. successful elimination of one teammate). Plus the loss of the immunity clue thing.
death match at least played out a bit better (with some mindgames from person starting bet in the round) rather than one person just knowing everything
everyone here is right about the betrayal of Eunkyul. I felt the same way and had the same though process of Jinho. You just dont do that.. i dont feel bad for him necessarily but its really disgusting to see them basically give him away little by little as if his contribution did nothing for them. if they didnt want his deal, they shouldnt have LET HIM CHEAT FOR THEM or NOT AGREE TO HIS PLANS!!!!
but what bugs me more.... are these stupid "Deathmatches", where its now become more of a popularity contest. I wholeheartedly believe the producers pull out the "SUN MOON STAR" game whenever a popular contestant goes to the deathmatch.
**** If you guys didnt know this before, but noh hongchul and jiwon are both really famous in korean television. i know people in this thread only see him as the guy in the gangnam style music video, but he is actually on... lets say ryan seacrests level of fame in korea in terms of exposure. so while 80% of these other contestants here are really nobodies, hes actually a huge star of the show. so its not a coincedence as to why you guys like him so much... he also DOES have great charisma and personality.
ji won is also really popular and could be the second most famous person on the show right now. hes been in so many tv shows already with other famous people in korea and is really funny (he plays that "im kind of slow" character a lot). side note hes related to the last korean president which could also be why hes so rich...
so while someo f you might not have seen them before this season, but i was geniunely surprised they managed to get 2 of these stars onto the show. that also really explains why i believe the producers (and by now you should realize they always choose which deathmatch game gets to be played at the END of the episode, not preset) choose the sun moon star game. it has no luck. theres VERY LITTLE SKILL involved, which is only the bluffing aspect. but that will not affect the outcome so much as to help you win. the OTHER PLAYERS practically choose who they want to have stay. OBVIOUSLY the majority of people will help jiwon, not only because eunkyul backstabbed his team, but because jiwon has MORE FRIENDS, MORE POPULAR, (not to mention, would you look at how that lawyer ALWAYS goes to the side with the first deathmatch contestant to make sure she doesnt get picked???? even when she gets picked for DM, she does her puppy eyes and tries to gains everyone support. reminds me on kyungran from season 1 all the time..) and bottom line he is MORE FAMOUS than the magician. and trust me.. koreans feel the same way about illusionists in korea the same way we do here in the us with MINDFREAK CHRIS ANGEL or DAVID ZOMGMAGIC COPPERFIELD.. its kind of corny.
bottom line the deathmatches seem to be brought out whenever a star of the show is in jeopardy. and theres nothing genius about it at all. in fact it ruins the future episodes as now as someone pointed out there is going to be a more tightly knit team of those same group of people and kind of destroys the fun. too bad it probably wont beused as a deathmatch anymore because its getting into the mid stages of the season and they cant keep pulling it off. yes im bitter. not because i liked the magician (like i said, i think theyre corny), but they AGREED to his proposition when they followed his plans, and they all except yellow and junghyun intentionally gave him away when jiwon had to choose his opponent.
beyond that, yellow looks to be in strong contention to win again. its shocking to see how much of a joke boxer is. i wont sugar coat it, sorry guys. but boxer plain isnt the genius we expected him to be.
Episode 4 was entertaining enough, the game wasn't really good but the betrayals made the best of it. The deathmatch was surprising as well, a shame they already used a game twice. I do think it's about time for more individual games though and they should stop spoiling the next episode in the preview. They try to put you on the wrong track but they do it so consistently it sometimes just spoils it.
The rock, paper, scissors game in season 1 is also popularity contest though. And I think they've used it 3 times. The way Eunkyul betrayed his team is just quite distasteful to me. He even said he doesn't intend to win and just wants to eliminate a person straight away. And how can he say that he plans to eliminate Hongchul, Sangmin and Jiwon right in front of Hongchul himself? He surely can't expect help from right after that. LOL. I wish the games would stop relying on betrayals though. It's not about Jiwon's popularity I think, but the way Eunkyul made himself look like to others. He just gave an impression that made him threatening to the others.
But where's the narration at the end of the episode analyzing would be reasons why the person got eliminated? Like in season 1. Would be nice if they put that in.
And they give immunity to so many players in this season. O_O It's not as much of a big deal as it was in the first season.

To be fair to the show, I'm not exactly convinced the deathmatch games are being picked specifically to save the stars of the show. If you remember the early deathmatches in Season 1, they also involved very little individual skill in determining the outcome. In fact, the Winning Streak game that was used was decided entirely by the non-deathmatch players, with the actual participants having no chance of actually being able to win the game on their own merits. I think the Sun, Moon, Star game at least adds an element of strategy to it that makes it more interesting than the Winning Streak game. It seems that, rather than using these games in order to protect the popular participants, the production team just thinks that the early deathmatches should involve some form of participation from the players that aren't involved in it. To me, the larger fault of the production team isn't that they're attempting to save specific players, but that they can't come up with a decent game that can combine both individual ability and involve outside participation from the non-deathmatch players. At the very least, though, Sun, Moon, Star is more interesting than the Winning Streak game because there is at least less predictability in the outcome of the game. The Winning Streak game was pretty terrible, even with the later twist of inviting back the eliminated players to also participate. It's not that they're saving stars, they just want to involve the whole group in the early episodes. They just can't come up with a game that allows them to do that and still let individual skill also apply. I imagine that as the season progresses there will be less outside involvement in deathmatches and more emphasis on player skill, much like last season.
I have no idea of EunKyul intention. He said Hong Chul Jiwon & Sangmin is a serious threat in the future and have to kill one by this episode. I tink of all the participant, he is the only one thinking this way, right?
And last episode is fun, see DongHee betray the team to give 1 sided win. But this episode is the same thing again, it is half the fun.
I just feel Yellow grows as he age, but BoxeR look like waning down, because of age. His Emperor days I missed (I missed it literally, since I started watching at 2009).
Bah, I hope episode 5 I can see BoxeR doing spectacular making me WOW.
The original betrayal by Eunkyul left a bad taste in my mouth so I'm ok with him being knocked out.
Again in this episode Boxer didn't have a large part. Maybe he's trying to keep a low profile so that he doesn't become a target (or maybe he's just not very good).
The game this episode wasn't really that interesting. It's more telling of the politics in season 2. I kinda feel the same as Yellow in that throwing the magician under the bus left a poor taste in my mouth. While he does switch sides, he's never the betrayer of a given episode until now. He was basically right in that the broadcasters were too close, as evident by Noh betraying him in favor of Jiwon.
I also don't understand why the Lawyer was voted as the second strongest player right now. She's assertive, and she killed the lion... but that's really it. After that she's either getting help in the death match or getting help to not go to the death match.
I have to say, the former congressman is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. I want him to go really far, haha.
Not only is she assertive and a death match survivor, the lawyer has her diploma and is known for winning a quiz show in Korea (it was shown in the intro), all of which solidifies her image as being really smart and therefore a strong player. She is one of my favorites so far, having shown enough people skills and fighting spirit to be saved from the last two death matches, even though she was clearly in risk of being picked. I love how fierce she is.
Eunryul's betrayal didn't make much sense. He was right in trying to disassemble the broadcasting trio, but the invidividual risks he took were too big. If he already suspected that Hongchul and Jinwo would work together, he couldn't make a plan that would rely entirely in Hongchul not disclosing he was the betrayer. Still, he would be able to survive this week if Jinwo made the logical choice of picking Boxer (weakest in the group) as a death match opponent. I felt that Jinwo took a big risk in facing someone who had guaranteed allies, but most likely Jinwo already had locked Dohee and pretty girl on his side before making the pick.
Yellow continues to be a BEAST, tricking sangmin with the piles and sticking to honor in defending Eunryul's. Easily the strongest player in both seasons.
Man, the first 2 eps of the season were great but the last 2 have been disappointing, Doohee's and Eunkyul's betrayals resulting in completely one-sided wins for the opposing team. Season 1 had its fair share of betrayals too (*cough* Sangmin *cough*) but at least the matches ended up being interesting.
I'm really glad Eunkyul got eliminated after that, he got what he deserved in my opinion, and I think Jiwon is a more interesting character.
To the people complaining about the death match, the winning streak game used in season 1 three times was a lot worse in my opinion, since in each round you either won or lost and there was limited potential for metagaming, whereas here you can choose how much to bet, to split your bet and so on based on how much you trust the person.

Exactly! Why disclose your plan of attempting to eliminate the three broadcasters in front of one of them! It was really stupid and he even has the nerve to ask why Hongchul mentioned about the deal. Of course you just said out loud your threat to throw them out. What are you expecting? Eunkyul should've known better than that.
TBH if he wanted not to get picked for the death match, he should've just focused on winning for their team and try to eliminate Jiwon some other round. That would be the smarter move and not to make yourself some jerk who betrays his own team so carelessly. If Eunkyul wanted the help of the winning team, he should've been more rational that letting his anger take its course.
The reason why he betrayed his team isn't really justifiable. Wanting to eliminate a person even before the game started? That's some grudge you got there.
And I think it was very decent of Jiwon to only leave 11 chips in the end, also betting where Eunkyul was betting despite it being wrong. Since he already was sure where Doohee was betting, He could've had 300 chips by the end and Eunkyul with nothing at all since he went all in. (Could be he's securing himself though if ever Doohee lied lol)
And hopefully based on the preview, it's individual based game.. hmmm.. Doohee is really adorable and it's funny how he programmed the messenger software.

The part about jiwon betting on doohee was just a 100% victory. It doesnt matter if doohee lied or not, as long as u have a lead when you are the follower you are 100% to win
