Why would you have hotkeys on the other end of the keyboard when you can put them whereever you want?! He had a hotkey on m/n that he used several times and some around the "ö/;"-keys that he had to hit with his thumb while holding down shift with his pinkie. So ineffective! :D I tried to play broodwar and it was like that with everything, just building an overlord took my hand over the entire keyboard. When I almost reached gladiator as a holy paladin in WoW I had more hotkeys than I had keys on my keyboard. I ended up having to put half of them on control keys. It's really really easy to stretch your hands at a great speed when you are used to it.

What depresses me (a little): Maybe it's the current state of TvP meta, his sheer confidence, or the quality of his opponent (who was he?), but I realised he doesn't really scout much mid to late game. All he did was scan the 3rd base. He didn't seem overly concerned of the Protoss' unit composition. He scanned the main once and he did have a reaper running around his base. It's not like his composition was really ever in question once the warp prisms starting coming without the DTs, he also constantly scouted the 3rd base timing which is how he was able to deny it so swiftly so many times. His scouting was pretty much extremely on the ball.

His scouting was pretty much extremely on the ball. Don't get me wrong, I do think he scouted just enough in this specific game, and his multi-tasking skills should be good enough to intensify his scouting, when needed. I've just seen Life's game, and realised the same thing. Maybe it's just me, but I remember watching a few BW FPOV games where the player switches back and forth a lot from his base and the enemy's base, from start to finish (maybe it was Bisu and his intense in-base probe micro-ing). It was absolutely dizzying to watch, but impressive. Maybe these specific SC2 games are not intense enough, due to the quality of the opposition (looking at the brackets, Innovation and Life weren't exactly facing top-tier opponents in these matches). I'm not being elitist or nostalgic, but I really look forward to SC2 games being brought to the dizzying heights of BW (pun intended).

Seriously, though, soooo impressive. I always feel daunted seeing stuff like that. I really wish tournaments would set up a fixed cam and mic for just such shots. Not for all matches, but I think the semis and finals could justify such footage. A couple of things I thought were interesting: 1) He's using a lot of real estate on that mousepad. Assuming the monitor is at 1080p, I'd guess he's at like 600 DPI. I'm playing at 800 and it seems like he's using a greater range than I do. 2) I'm surprised to see him go back to his main base cam late in the game (e.g. 9:40 video time). Is he just checking production with that view? 3) WTF did he do with the arrow keys at 2:20? Thanks Khaldor, great work as usual.

I also play low and move my hand alot but he seems to be all over the mouse pad like you said. 2) I don't know what he was doing. Checking production? Possibly concerned about warp prism counters. Perhaps he was checking if he needed to transfer SCVs because of diminishing mineral patches in his main. Who knows. He is a Kespa robot im sure he was doing something. 3) His keyboard scroll is set very low so he was using the arrow keys to set up his location hotkeys exactly where he wanted them.

Its either Zealot Archon or Zealot Stalker, Colossus for the most part. Its Zerg that you really need to scout their unit comp.

l for lift/land (thump) also pretty standard bw control groups I guess he was already such a bw player to swap to a more "intuitive" hotkey setup easy win though
