Nah I have to disagree.
Imagine a starcraft comic similar to Hikaru no go would be epic
Any of you don't know that manga, it's awesome and about the broad game go

That would be pretty amazing, but turn-based games such as Chess, Mahjong, and Go are easier to portray in a comic medium due to their pacing. Hikaru no Go would often spend many panels, pages, or chapters discussing the importance of critical plays and mental states for single moves let alone whole games and matches. If you stop to discuss significant moves in Starcraft, you have to disrupt the fast-paced nature of the game to talk about it. There would be no consistent flow; Action action action, theorycraft, analysis, catch up on the action you missed during analysis, and so on. Speaking of speed. Capturing the speed of the game, the units and decision-making is also a challenge if you want to make a comic about the game itself. Overall, you'd need more than just good artistic skills if you want to make something like this popular.

Still waiting for the Starcraft version of The Legend of Koizumi.

HOLY SHIT DUDE I REMEMBER THIS

I **** LOVED YOUR WEBCOMIC but I forgot about it completely after a long hiatus

Man this is sweet, got 5 more chapters to read now, I just LOVED the premise of it and how you set it up was just perfect, exactly like I imagined and wanted the story to be like.

Thanks for posting this again man!

Edit: I am blazing trough the chapters and I am absolutely loving it, this is really quality material, please keep doing them! This gives me more motivation to play starcraft than most other things. I don't really know why, but for some reason this really strikes home with me, and I actually get emotional reading it.

It depends on how you decide to do it. You can include a lot of tension in preparing a build order before a match, for instance. The hardest thing to me would actually be displaying the action in an entertaining way. How do you showcase awesome (or even average?) micro in a comic without just saying "ohh, look at him micro those marines!"

To do it well would take some insane talent I think.

The image bonus section is priceless, seeing cameo of idra, lucifron, tlo and later way down the line flash etc would be adorable and great.

Is the starcraft magazine that gets printed time to time still going? Maybe get in touch with them to have some pages dedicated for a chapter.

I would love Team liquid to have a little ''monthly starcraft webcomic'', and this just fits the bill.
Got to be possible to give this more exposure somehow.

As a HUGE fan on BW battle reports--I have to say that RTS games translate well to tactical comic style.

I still think you can do that in a similar way, you just need to make sure the pacing isn't too slow for the theorycrafting.
something like
action action
his units are over here, I can drop there to manipulate his army movement
action action

you can also do his day off like maybe trolling in 4v4 or doing sponsor videos etc or even streaming and streaming sniping would be quite fun
There are more fast paced games (sport) that were made into manga pretty successfully, don't see why sc2 would be an issue

JD loses game 1 vs some noob like Goku fucking around with some chobo.
Gets his rape-face on and goes SSJ3 on him, wins 3-1 with APM-Level 1000.

I think they'd have to do away with the blonde-haired blue-eyed concept though, no Korean wants to go full foreigner while playing Starcraft.

I wish I had the Durarara mouse gif right now but I can't track it down. All Google wants to give me is Izaya with a side of Shizuo.

This webcomic is progressing way too fast imo.
It's only chapter 5, and the protagonist has already fought his rival 2 times already, and is a top 100 ladderer...

You can easily say it's just master ladder or something like that, his rival just got a deal for progamer aswell.
