They weren't rooting against him. Talk about seeing things in black and white...
Well they didn't take a stance with him, which imo was pretty pathetic. Black and white, well there were 2 options that were availeble for them, stance of letting him replay or not, there was no inbetween. Mumble in the backrooms about their annoyance on MLG or the admin is pretty irrelevant to him. And this is coming from a huge Demu fan.
Agreed. Genna should have let the MLG admins take the fall and make the ultimate decision. I feel like her teams interest should have been first priority.
Interesting news. He hasn't been performing well from what I recall so I can understand his frustration and wanting to leave. GL to him in what he does next

I wouldn't get too invested, we have the hashings of a story from multiple accounts/perspectives and the vast number of gaps are been filled in with anonymous forum posters opinions.

Holy shit, you're taking things WAAAY out of context. Genna DID protest against what happened in the qualifiers and took a stanse for Miya, but ultimately did not think it made sense to punish several other players (who had done nothing wrong) for a mistake MLG made, which is a perfectly reasonable stance.
I'm obviously not saying she liked the way things went down, but she had an option to stand by her player's interests and not, and she didn't. It was not punishing any of those players, except for wasting their time, which is quite a light punishment compared to fucking up someone's tournament life.
When you buy a lottery ticket with 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 1,2,3,4,5 are already drawn and the hostess draws up a 9 but calls a 6, it isn't punishing you when they fix their mistake(assuming the time passed is not long).
But yer, this is my last post on this subject. Not really a fan of his, but I can't help but feel for him.

There's no evidence he wouldn't have retired in any case. People blaming Genna for his retirement is presumptuous at best.

Agreed. Slayers Jessica would have backed her player in the same situation. You can knock Jessica for a lot of things but player loyalty isn't one of them.....at least when you don't cross/betray her. :p

Only an idiot would buy that lottery ticket.
Haha, I don't think you understand the math behind lotteries. What you should have said is "only an idiot buys lottery tickets".
Man, I liked Miya. Even though he did not win a ton, I enjoyed watching him play. Very unfortunate. Does that mean Axiom will be picking up another player soon?
