I dont blame them. We can see that even if youre a top class world player its not enough to win against top class korean pros. With KeSpa entering the market HoTS is wayyyyyyyyyy different playing field than WoL. This will def not the last person to retire in the next coming months and I hope the best for them. SC2 doesnt pay well if youre not a kespa player tbh(by time investement i mean) LoL has a better set up than SC2 does. Playing (NA vs NA) (EU vs EU) and (KR vs KR )is the only real way you can create a world wide esport. Blizz failed.

It's unbelievable so many people even care about that. LoL is so successful with that system because of they have so many viewers, too.

However the large amount of viewers is also in part due to the system. If they had went for the Blizzard approach and all the crown favorite team was steam rolled and promptly knocked out the viewership would most likely plummet very quickly. If people only cared about quality of play everyone would watch the Korean and Chinese tournaments, but they don't because they don't know the people playing. If people had gone with a similar system I would guess they would have generated more viewers as well, because people like to tune in and cheer for people they know. Admittedly it is a bit different for SC2 because most people will know the bigger Korean players. And when one nationality has a huge advantage over the rest of the world nationality is not stupid, it is a very real factor you need to consider. If you want a more even playing field where players from all over the world can stand their ground against each other you need to either hold the domination nation back or give the others a boost. Riot went with the second and so far it seems to be working out to some degree. The NA and EU teams have probably not fallen farther behind of the asian teams than before. They're not on par by any means, but it's probably heading in the right direction. I'm not sure if the same can be said for SC2. Then again if you don't care about complete Korean dominance then I guess it's all fine. And good luck to Miya with whatever he decides to do.
