Good strategy, GG! Do you know that he avoided broodlord infestor in the last months of WoL? He hated it and because of it he played alot with ultras or roach+hydras at lategame vs T.

I think it's a very smart move in the current state of esport, I wish him to succeed in this new path. As a nurse myself, maybe I'll meet him :D i mean, yeah for a lot of pros that's true. Not stephano though. he could resign to eg for $50k+ easily + prize money means he could very well end up with another $100k+ in savings. I'm not saying his decision is wrong, but either way hes not looking in bad shape.

I have respected him for being the 'father' of the ZvP against FFE meta, plus being insanely good and dedicated... but back in 2011. After he won some tournaments he became really 'lazy' or whatever word you may find fitting for his behavior and braging how he doesn't practice. The most recent DH Valencia - posting alcohol pictures on his twitter so he feels like a rockstar after beating some good players ? lol, nope. Didn't happen and he got what he deserved. SC2 shouldn't be 'promoted' as a game where people who don't take the game seriously or don't have the "professional personality(dedication)" win. So in the end we reach to the point where people praise him for doing something so noble to fund his studies but who are we kidding, will that really happen? Sure, he won some money but where was that huuuge noble dedication to fund the studies in 2012-2013? Nowhere, just dicking around and wasting time. I really hope Stephano gets his shit together and stops dicking around. Certainly he has the potential and intelligence to start and finish his studies but not with his current attitude.

A fairly good news for my fans and followers will be announced after IEM Shanghai. Be patient it's going to be good! I wonder if this tweet has anything to do with his retirement plans

Why so serious? So he needs to be a saint to be a professional gamer, such bullshit. He can do whatever he wants, he does not owe you anything. And a loooooot of people dick around during college and make it just fine.

I for one am very happy that we don't live in a world where people are required to be robots. He was the best foreigner for a long period of time, and along with Naniwa, one of the two foreigners that really had a chance to win any tournament, no matter how many Koreans. He also had a fun personality to boot. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and you're basically criticizing him for enjoying his life.

Really arrogant attitude. It's not up to you to decide what SC2 is and definitely not what the people who play it do with their careers. Stephano has accomplished more in SC2 (and Brood War) than any other non-Korean, ever. That's praise-worthy almost regardless of his attitude, which, btw, is one of the reasons he has so many fans. His popularity has done more for the scene than that of almost every other player, and the fact that he is, as you describe it, "dicking around" just contributes to that. If not even sure what your point is. "He's not dedicated enough, therefore he sucks"? That doesn't make any sense to me. You can dislike him all you want if his idea of what to do with his Stacraft II career conflicts with your (seemingly very narrow) concept of what SC2 should be promoted as, but please don't try to pretend that that makes all his accomplishments worthless.
