The majority of the feedback he receives is likely in his twitch chat, take any man and submit him to this and I won't be surprised with the outcome. is it that far of a stretch to assume he is speaking of a minority? because last I checked, minorities have observable qualities too. anyhow, i feel like the butthurt is much too high. not only for the offended community but the idra fan boys as well. is what he said THAT far off from what he always says? what we have tolerated for so long? kind of a joke to call it now, in my opinion. Obviously we are all free to hold opinions on the matter, and I am certain they will be varied, what with such a touchy topic. You really don't get the analogy do you. I'll state it again: It's like owning a bakery and telling customers that walk in "you are a fat fuck, can't believe you eat my pastries HAHA" . . . It doesn't take much awareness to realize that the 300 people in your freaking "stream-chat" are not representative of the community.

If you think a person deserves to lose his team, and basically his livelihood, simply because of things he said, and his "manners" then freedom of speech is truly dead. If esports degenerates into a bunch of circle jerking, let's hold each other's hands even though we're opponents, let's all love each other and be nice bunch of hippies, I don't want anything to do with it, and I"m pretty sure I'm not alone. Plus you're all a bunch of pussies. BAD move by EG. User was warned for this post

People start hating on him as a result of his actions. Why does nobody hate on someone like Innovation? Because obviously he doesn't act as verbally abusive as Idra. HMMM, I wonder why the community does that? It's not like Idra hasn't called people a waste of life: <lots of links> I don't think anyone, including us "fan boys" would disagree that Idra is insultive, and abrasive. Your links are a good/entertaining reminder of that. However, you could go on to prove he murdered kittens, and that doesn't invalidate the point that the community is toxic to the players.

As for IdrA, good. I had to stop myself from posting a few things in recent days after his comments and honestly I hope he just quits SC2 and goes to do something completely different with his life --- we don't need someone toxic like him in the community to encourage the childish trolls. Isn't Destiny done with SC2 as well? Maybe the community will start to mature a bit with the 2 most terrible influences gone. I know there are a few others that are outspokenly toxic but no one on either of their levels. He hasn't been relevant as a player in over a year so it's not a big loss for EG or fans of the game

"He deserved it", sure, he said things that were crossing the line, done things that were deemed bad mannered.. But the community riding him for his attitude since the very beginning surely hasn't helped him either. The guy tried to work on his attitude, getting professional help and when he cursed even once after people knew about him getting professional help, most of you were like "It's not helping, still so bm" blablabla, the community kept on riding him and honestly, those who call Greg toxic, look at the community as a whole first. The community consists of hypocrites, morons.. And people are talking about making e-sports as big as any other professional sport? Gl with that, especially with the kind of community sc2 has.. When it comes to his words about the community.. can't help but agree with the lad. I totally agree on this one, esp. with the hypocrit part. Brace yourself and get out the pitchforkes. I love players like stephano, naniwa and idra because they acutally have charakter. You need the good charakters like grubby but you also need players like idra, that creates awesome story lines. Haters gonna hate.

And the comparison to Boxer is only in terms of having a great following and legacy to this day. Even when painted in negative light (quite often), Idra is remembered.Without a doubt, he racked up some seriously impressive achievements, and he does deserve some respect, but still not even remotely comparable to BoxeR in the big, esports picture. Hell, I'd say someone like Grrr..., Elky and Legionnaire rank higher in that regard, though they were all in a completely different period of time.

Idra never struck me as evil, more like angry, emotional and maybe mean. Neither did he seem to be a genius, in fact his in-game decisions were some of the worst from any pro-player. In any case evil genius is just a name, and not what they look for in a player. Do you think Fnatic looks for fanatics? Liquid looks for people with abnormal liquid intake? Axiom looks for mathematicians or logicians? IM looks for miracles? MVP only cares about getting the MVP award? TSL only wanted players who lived like an scv?

IF a game wasn't good, I'm not going to GG, why should I, because it's "manner"? who gives a shit, I'm not going to lose any sleep, neither will they. The things IdrA does would cost him any job in the real world, and the fact that EG even put up with him for this long was ridiculous. You didn't call the entire SC2 community "a bunch of fucks"

to me, Idra WAS EG. Sure he hasnt been performing well of late. But I feel that he's done so much for the image and branding of EG so far. The first 'big' sign-up. And IdrA, fault him as you will. He has personality. He's a rare individual in that he doesnt need to be liked with the community (and it's better that he's not liked!). He just needs to get on the with the game. Disappointed by EG in this. I feel it's releasing him more for his results than anything else though.
