I'm saying Artanis could easily become the central hero for LoTV LoTV is quite interesting as so far HoTS seems to be ending with The Swarm "being released" is some way. Protoss part being almost untouched, i'm more hyped for it than on HoTS itself. In Wing in the Protoss mini campaign there was a mission where all the Protoss united against the threat of the Swarm and hybrids. It was based on the propherecy so i guess resoults of action taken in HoTS the prophercy mission will go in a completly different way. Btw what happened to the zerg's main goal - assimilate Protoss to reach perfection? So far it was the Dominion that tried to bound those two races w/o any reason. Kerrigan seems to have completly abonded that idea focusing on Mengsk. In trailer, though, it seems that Kerrigan's psi powers are greatly increased as if she assimilated some Protoss or mayby an artefact. Anyway long way till the Void...

Brood War had like amazing complicated mature drama, with a lot of tragedy, where anyone was disposable. Sc2 - some cheesy good endings with bullshit 'heroes' and overall dumbed down characters. After what they did with the D3 story and the mushy goop that was WoL, I'm kind of worried. BW had the best storyline of any RTS, it was sort of like Game of Thrones in space. This feels eerily reminiscent of the first Star Wars movies vs the new ones.

But two notes: 1. Not an epic music for the Zerg theme 2. Too many spoilers

What's funny is that back then they had few tools like 'talking heads' and no in-game interractivity, yet they managed to create some sad, dark and powerful story. Now they have amazing cinematic department, in-game interractions between missions, books written just for SC2, and much much more, yet they still cant make as deep characters, which would have no 'right' choice anytime during the campaign. I liked the trailer a lot actually, i just hope it keeps that sort of tone in the game.

That Kerrigan wants Revenge and turns somewhat on Raynor was clear, because a Zerg-Story wouldn't make much sense if Kerrigan was 100% human again.

Ok, here there are some: + Show Spoiler + 1. Kerrigan fighting Raynor 2. Kerrigan's clone with psy-blades 3. Kerrigan's reincarnation on Zerus within a cocoon 4. Kerrigan destructs a Protoss relic. Most probably it's Zel Naga artefact from WoL 5. Kerrigan fights with Zeratul 6. Leaked ending is an actual ending Yes, it doesn't explains everything but they are spoilers anyway. Something that wasn't spoiled in trailer and i'm interested in: + Show Spoiler + 1. Hybrids 2. Duran 3. Dark Voice 4. Stukov

they stated that they moved all the mission discussion to the missions itself too, but i'm not sure about the cinematics. that would explain some things, if those cinematics will happen in the middle of some missions.

About the storyline. While I understand and agree that it is very cliche, I don't understand why this is such an outrage, since this has been the case with Blizzard for the longest time. While original SC's campaign had a good storyline, it was nothing earthshattering, it was the degree of commitment to the characters what actually made it great, not the storyline per se. For example, the death of Tassadar was a freaking huge moment for me, because Tassadar was such a fucking badass, but the story structure wasn't too different from what we see today, aside the addition of really cheesy lines and themes. That said, the story is probably going to be pretty epic, IF and only if they can get us to commit to the characters as much as we did to the previous cast. Zeratul is probably the biggest thing here, since out of the new characters we haven't met too many interesting people. I think the death of Matt Horner would be pretty touching. As far as the campaign goes, I feel the mission structure in WoL was really, really, REALLY good. It was a huge step over the classic "build a huge base -> Stomp everything" structure in all RTS campaigns so far, maybe they could be less tailored for a given unit's effectiveness, because that means some units are mostly useless apart from their star missions. I have high hopes for HotS and LotV, I think for all the shit Blizzard takes for their work on D3, and their money grabbing, they've done a good job with SC2, and I hope it continues to be that way.

If you want an example of a good trailer it would be the Game of Thrones trailer + Show Spoiler + It also helps that I know that Game of Thrones won't under deliver where HoTs will.
