On a serious note, the patch that came to HotS today seems very interesting. "Heavily nerf infestors" while making other play (mutalisks, ultralisks, and indirectly banelings/zerglings) more viable lategame. Can't wait to win and improve an equal amount as I am currently, but without everybody demeaning the value of my rank because of the race I play.

- Winrates have to be compared with those before the patch, foreign terrans always sucked - A high number of the zerg wins were by Stephano who simply has been outstanding amongst foreigners for a long time (also before the patch)

And, damn, thanks for reminding us of how good ZvT used to be. Both watching and playing. It was the best matchup by far. Then all the metagame shifts fucked it in the ass. Mech, which I hate to death (who wants to see some amazing Thor micro? Oh wait...) and now going infestors. Definitely not as exciting as the old muta/ling style. But, honestly, I think it's more the winds of the metagame and the discovery of new strats that lead to this fungalfest, rather than the last patch. It had something to do with it, for sure, but if we revert it back to the way it was pre-patch, infestors would still be the dominant choice, as mutas are almost not even viable in ZvT anymore. They would be slightly weaker but I don't honestly believe that we would see a significant change in gameplay. But I definitely think there's truth in what you're saying. + Show Spoiler + "Win rates are 50/50 both on ladder and at high level tournament play. There is nothing at the moment that we belive is any cause for concern. Game is balanced." ~Blizzard
