are there? that's fucking ridiculous. the OP exposed himself to criticism because his satire was not obvious. before you go shouting YES IT WAS!!!!!11 realize that not everyone reads every thread here or even pays attention to balance whine/conspiracy theories so to them, the sarcasm would not be evident -- on the flip side the more you are exposed to certain types of whining the more believable it is that someone would seriously post a long rant like this.
there've been comments on every page which back up what i'm saying.

Okay, I thought this was funny + well-written. =)

Well written article Bob, but try not to skew results. Scarlett may have lost 0-2 to Sleep but she also barely lost to DRG, ended up beating him in the GSL WC, and was quite ahead vs Life in GSL WC too. If you're going to use an example of "foreigner Zergs can't beat Korean Zergs because Zerg counters Zerg" then your graphs of foreigner vs Koreans should include mirrors.

I certainly can't distinguish it completely. Can you?

This is pretty much spot on...
We did tier 2 transition of exciting games into tier 3 of epic boringness where landing a fungal is an "incredible" or "amazing" feat of skill.. and then being able to manage to click on the same group of units again... Before they ... get away..

It's funny, because there's people that take it 100% seriously, then there's people who think it's 100% a joke and laugh at the first group. IMO there's obviously some seriousness among the jokes, but as you said, I can't tell exactly how much of it is serious.

Stephano was the first patchzerg.

Entertaining, humorous and 100% true. I think every single Terran and many Zergs wants the TvZ metagame to go 1 year back in time.
|
Hahahahahaha the "white person race."
The sad part is I don't know what makes it funnier- the ridiculous way you put our current complaining, or the fact that it is all true .

Addtionally they even said that Terrran is designed to be strong early and midgame but weak lategame. There were actual advantages that came with the difficulty of Terran in BW, like Terran seeming unstoppable in the hands of the right player.
Blizzard has systematically removed most of the advantages of Terran in SC2.
Anyway, funny read in general, especially towards the end. If there's a specific reference here though, I don't really get it.

Amazing article xD I drank your words, and I want more.

This is the most elegant balance whine ever.
Literally the day you post this, David Kim announced a major nerf to infestors and a buff to hydras and mutas, which is exactly what you're arguing for.

To break it down, I think it's more accurate to say that he's exaggerating his main points of argument, that we already know/discuss, and wrapping it in an intentionally ridiculous "conspiracy" on Blizzard's part.

Read through quickly. Tongue in cheek, yes, but still makes strong arguments.
Viewer count really does indicate that Blizzard (like any money making company) would favour lowering the game's skill ceiling to where non-Koreans can manage to take wins off Koreans.
And it is really getting very difficult to tell apart Zergs' skill levels. Scarlett was being pulled apart by Life's multitasking. She still stays in game because of one big engagement with tons of fungals and ITs. Why?
Scarlett had twice as many infestors as Life. That's why.

Absolutely fantastic article. Clearly articulated what was intuitive knowledge by many players for a long time. Well-written, well-sourced, well-argued. I particularly like that this article substantiates the 'ease of play' argument that is so difficult to substantiate.

Incredible post.
I admit I only watch SC2 now when there's a chance of foreigners beating koreans.
