It's a good buy. There's absolutely zero reason to start the "cash cowing" hate train other than just blind trolling. Exept that HotS adds one third of the content to the game that Frozen Throne added, and one tenth compared to WoW expansions. WoW's content is also priced with its subscription cost (15 dollars per month) included in case you've forgotten. The box prices are exactly the same though. As per Warcraft 3's content, that's yet to be seen. Warcraft 3 TFT added neutral heroes and 3 new campaigns as well as a couple new units per race. A lot of the content that exists now was patched after the expansion first dropped. HOTS is adding new units per race and a new campaign that will offer as many playtime hours as TFT's campaign if it's anything like WoL's. which we have no reason to believe it won't be. When Legacy of the Void is released. SC2 will have considerably more campaign playtime hours included than the Warcraft 3 campaigns did. There's also Blizzard All-Stars to consider. Although Blizzard All-Stars will come bundled with the free Starter Edition of SC2 iirc. Source? As far as I know there's been no officially released statement on how Blizzard All-Stars will be implemented other than it won't be released until HoTS has been. I dug up this old PC Gamer article that claims that it will be free with the Starter Edition. http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/10/22/blizzard-dota-detailed-mounts-added-towers-weakened-last-hits-revamped/ I'm nervous because of how dated that article is and because I've heard no follow up confirmation of that at Blizzcons or elsewhere. I hope it's true though. Other sites like Eurogamer and Gamespy have run parallel articles about the same information, so I think it's solid enough to believe. And to be fair, there haven't been any Blizzcons since the one last year where they last released lots of information about Blizzard All-Stars.

True but there have been plenty of events like MLG Anaheim and Dreamhack where Blizzard has had demos and tons of press surrounding HOTS where they could have made an announcement this year. They could be saving a lot of the announcement stuff for the BWC since that's the official replacement for Blizzcon this year. I dunno I guess we'll wait and see.

It's basically the same price as the original. WoL cost $60 for me at release. HotS will cost $40. $40 < $60. WoW expansions are $40. The Frozen Throne was $40 iirc. I paid about 50-60$ (cant remember exactly) for WoL.. now according to that picture in the OP i'll have to pay 40 EUROs for the expansion which is basically the same since 40 euro is 50 dollars. Why are they equating dollars to euro? 1 euro is worth more than 1 dollar. How is that not greedy? Edit: not the picture in the OP, but it can be seen on page11.. someone quoted it with a 40euro pricetag in the bottom. THere were times when the euro was below 1$. If u adjust all the prices to dollar/euro exchange rate all the time, the price would fluctuate all the time in retail shops and people in shops will be asking why the prices go up and down all the time, (especially when prices go up due the exchange rate going down)

Exept that HotS adds one third of the content to the game that Frozen Throne added, and one tenth compared to WoW expansions. You think that overhauling the entire UI and improving the physics and graphics engine doesn't count as added content? Also comparing it to a WoW expansion is dumb in the first place because WoW has a monthly payment system. When you look at what someone has paid to play WoW from release till now with buying every single expansion and not missing a single monthly payment i'd say you could buy a pretty decent car with that money. WoW is 7 years and 11 months old. Main game + 4 expansions = 5*30$ = 150$ Each expansion + main game gives 1 month of free game time. So you would have had to pay for 7,5 years. 7,5*120$=900$ 150$+900$=1050$ pretty decent car get out of here. And no i dont think that overhauling the entire UI to the point where i still cant create a room for a custom game is not worth anything. Shit, you could buy a pretty good second hand volvo for that kinda money around here. Don't you think that 1050 dollars is a massive amount of money on a single game? And people here are bitching over spending 40 on top of 60? If you don't think it's worth it that's your call to make but comparing a WoW expansion to a sc2 expansion price wise is just dumb. Completely agree with this guy. People arguing over 15-20$ difference in a one time cost for a game most people here will play for > 40 hours for the last 10 pages, literally blows my mind. o _ o Also, sorry if it has been asked before but I went through 6 pages and couldn't find any info on the Diablo wings. Is it just something that gets attached to your d3 character if you buy the collectors edition? Would like to know what it actually does...

All the features considering community, global play, clan, groups, and UI, aswell as resume from replay and replay-hosting should be integrated in WoL as well (feature should require buying HotS). 40€ for a new game ? Great !! just take the 45€for WoL and devide by (hours played + hours watched related Stream) Might be as cheaper as sitting on a park bench feeding pidgeons.
