Remember you can pre-order your copy through the TL store and help support Team Liquid! It's also an easy way to get a beta key! |

It's basically the same price as the original. WoL cost $60 for me at release. HotS will cost $40. $40 < $60. WoW expansions are $40. The Frozen Throne was $40 iirc. I paid about 50-60$ (cant remember exactly) for WoL.. now according to that picture in the OP i'll have to pay 40 EUROs for the expansion which is basically the same since 40 euro is 50 dollars. Why are they equating dollars to euro? 1 euro is worth more than 1 dollar. How is that not greedy? Edit: not the picture in the OP, but it can be seen on page11.. someone quoted it with a 40euro pricetag in the bottom. Cause this is the economy and every single company bar a couple does it. I import most of my stuff and even with freaking air travel its cheaper then buying them in the local store.

Awesome to see a release date be announced. Now lets see a huge way of open beta invites pleeeease I've been waiting all of beta to get my hands on this :O

$40. That's about $10 per new unit.
It's not like Blizzard is trying to rip off Europeans because they're evil. They have to ship their products across the ocean, pay import taxes probably, and maybe their storage and distribution deals are not as favorable over there. Who knows. If they knew they could squeeze an extra $10 out of European customers, then why not also squeeze that out of the American customers as well? Does anyone think this through?

What comes with the deluxe version?

Scary stuff, not like bliz to give release dates when it doesn't look close to finished. As to the price, I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth, I played more WoL yesterday than I play most games in total... But I wish they'd address some of the bigger issues. It feels like the gameplay changes are more mods within what they have than anything revolutionary or game changing.

40Euro for fucking unbalance game? I never pay 40euro for this shit. 1 terran new unit, 2 new zerg units and 3 toss units, when terran have next nerf and zerg/toss next buff? PFFFF
12.03.12 i end play SC2. GG

That's a lot earlier than I thought.

March as acceptable but some suggestions like Dec2013 is ridiculous. It's an expansion, not a new game. How long should fans wait. The price is OK, though.

They rip off Europeans because they can get away with it. Everyone else does it. As simple as that.

with the way the beta is going, HOTS is still a do not buy for me. And with that price point, when full games like Torchlight 2 cost under 20 euro.. no fucking way.

do you honestly think they produce all european copies in the US and ship them to the EU ? -.- thats funny !
but on a serious note, i am looking foreward to the release. and i dont care what it will cost. i know i will play uncountable hours of sc2 and no other game can get close to it. so i think its worth it. especially when blizzard continues to fix all the stuff that needs to be fixed.
better late then never ! the game is just out for 2 years, i dont know how it was in the BW days but the game wasn perfectly balanced for some time there as well right?

I know this thread already has a lot of whinning, but this price... Maybe they are thinking in make a christmas sales with 50% off or anything like that.

Everyone complaining about the price but at the end of the day you all gonna buy HOTS
