On what planet do you expect anyone to take such ridiculous demands seriously? Blizzard would lose money on a magnitude of hundreds of millions compared to losing pennies from a few self-entitled children. It sounds like your option(s) are is very clear.

Why are you trying to convince him he is wrong? If he doesn't buy HotS, he will go bother some other community with his unreasonable expectations.(If wishing made it so, we all know these guys are going to buy HotS)

Dunno why you find it so funny, it still wasn't a waste of money as far as I am concerned. I got to play on the korean server for 2 years and buying 2 copies of sc2 was still worth more to me then buying any other 60$ game that I would only play for a week tops.
Also means they have smurf accounts .

I'm so excited for this. Can't wait.

I can't wait to play in Korea but my ping might be really bad.

Woooo! It's the 90s, finally!

Blizzard: Refusing to do something for a thousand years, then doing it... without any explanation why they were being dicks about it before.
Trust me, the same will happen with LAN functionality, SOMETIME in the far future.

I guess Blizzard decided that they weren't going to be able to extort any more copies of WoL from loyal fans who really just wanted to play with their EU/US fans or legitimately good players who wanted to ladder on KR.
Blizzard's behavior is 95% of the reason I will not buy HotS.

Don't lie. You will be there with the rest of us and back complaining about death balls in a few weeks after release. Like Peter Pan, you need a villian in you life to complete you.
After all, what would the world be like without...Blizzard Entertainment.

I need to whine here a bit.
But first: I agree with this decision and I understand it. Not so many people are buying SC2 anymore and even less probably, are buying smurfs/accounts for different servers. Allowing to play on all servers may encourage people to play more and maybe even some new people will arrive.
But there is another "but", the whining one. Me and really a lot of people bought few accounts. I have 4 of them. Do I feel cheated now? Yes and no. No because I will have super multi smurfes for all servers. Might be funny.
And YES, because Blizzard seems to not appreciate that there are people spending that much money for just one game. THEIR game! It wouldn't hurt Blizzard, for example, in the event of presenting Global Play, to send and e-mail thanking all people like me, seriously. And maybe even thanking by giving us access to BETA versions of HoTS and promise of access to future BETAs? Sounds like too much? Maybe. Maybe I shouldn't have bought so many accounts. But I did, because Blizzard said that with EU account I will never be able to play on NA or KR. And yes, I am bit frustrated.

I have a feeling the NA ladder is gonna get a littttttttttttttttttle bit harder :D

Yeah, kind of wondering what they'll do to compensate all the people who invested in more than one account... Nothing. Seriously what is this attitude that past purchases are invalid as soon as companies start renewing their policies You wouldn't buy a car, use it for 5 years, then go demand to get a partial refund because Toyota lowered the price tag
I cant express how thankful I am for you saying this.

So what you are saying is that receiving a non personalised e-mail that blizzard sent out to everyone who bought more than 1 copy of WoL (would have to be done by only sending it to people who put multiple copies on 1 bnet account, everyone who has 3 copies on 3 accounts would get missed... how would blizz know those accounts are all yours?)) would make you feel like they give a shit? Seriously, thats just stupid. They are thankful you bought 4 copies, you made them profit. You don't need to recieve an e-mail to know that everyone who bought 3 or more copies of SC2 are much appreciated customers, cause we made them 3 or more times the amount of profit that most players did individually.
We all knew somewhere in our minds that global play would come eventually, we knew that buying more than 1 copy wasn't going to be something needed in the long term but it was needed in the short term. I now have 3 accounts, that means i can have 1 account for each race in HotS. I'm very happy with that and need no thank you letter from blizzard.

Don't know if this was answered or not since I didn't scroll through the entire forum, but do the different profiles for global play require you to pay for those profiles? Like if I want to play KR, do I need to buy the KR region or would I just have one account bought from one region and that would unlock every server?

Just change region and create new profile.

Skynet sent back terminators to destroy the technology for LAN/Cross server. They just re-created the technology.

upgrade to hots is so expensive

This can never works right? Because i am on EU server and if i wanne play on different server. Lets say korean server the distance is to far so the latency/lag is to big to get this smooth. And your own server where you play on gonna be more laggy aswell. Because if every one gonna play cross over that all servers and almost all games gonna be laggy. Or am i wrong?
