Sorry but that's a retarded analogy. . . He got offered a Code S seed for season 4. Great! He played in that season. That's the end of it... What happens in the upcoming season is entirely up to him. What you're basically saying is that since he was given a seed for last season, no he can't leave even if he wants to... That's slavery lol... The seed was relevant for season 4. There's nothing else to it.[/QUOTE]
If he chooses not to play in the GSL, that's fine - he doesn't have too. Neither does Lebron in the NBA for that matter. However the manner in which he pulled out is completely unprofessional. GOM's actions to simply give him game losses are no more than a slap on the wrist. He should be removed from the tournament and suspended from play for several seasons. Playing in the GSL is a privilege, not a right.

This is so sad Rain vs HyuN was going to be sick... I just hope he made this decision on his own. Sure he would get more exposure to the foreign scene for him and his team, but giving up a spot in code S doesn't seem right :/

If it's Kespa it's pretty silly. Pull out best chance at taking over GSL? Yeah ok...
So I'm thinking it's actually Rain. Which is equally silly. People have rescheduled GSL accordingly and played with worse flights and conditions (for better or worse). And MLG open bracket is about as hard as a month long GSL. In addition GSL semis takes you to IPL5, which would allow that also.
So....I think it's Rain and it's a pretty dumb move. If it is indeed Kespa it's not as dumb, but almost.
only that you know, kespa has an exclusivity partnenship with mlg, preventing any kespa player to be playing in IPL.

Goddamnit this is ridiculous.

This is why I did not like the MLG exclusive partnership.

That sucks. =/
I'm really surprised a compromise couldn't be made; especially for a player of Rain's caliber.

Suddenly Bisu qualifies for Code A and gets Rain in the first round.
Imagine the rage.
Sad that it had to be like this but i can imagine Rain wanting to participate in a tournament overseas at all costs, after probably never even having been there.

sad news indeed...i guess it shows how far foreign tournaments have come in terms of importance.

With YongHwas luck he'll finally qualify only to be up against Rain...

Kespa plays their next move in the ESF v Kespa chess match.
Quite an intelligent move too.

I was looking forward to ZvP mixed in tonight after watching all of the ZvT and ZvZ last night. Another night of only ZvT and TvT isn't nearly as entertaining.

The thought that Rain would give up code S spot to come to america for the fans is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard.
He played BW. He's seen true fandom, he doesn't need foreigners to praise him to feel good about himself, get over it.

I'm sure, that GomTV did their best to try. You have to change 3 or 7 other players already submitted schedules.

Sad news, I was soo looking forward to see him play in 50min. Why would he choose MLG over GSL? I mean, I love MLG, but GSL is way more prestigious. Sad panda.

Who cares if he can style on 100 foreigner scrubs in a row, I want to watch him in the #1 tournament in the world.
This... I am bored of watching Koreans making Foreigners look like they shouldn't be playing Starcraft 2. I prefer to watch the best of the best battling. This was going to be a good group too. :'(

well best protoss not in gsl anymore ? i wake up early today to watch it and now no reason to watch the group

MLG's business practices keep proving how effective they are at killing e-sports, it seems.
