Not the best time/place to pull this kind of talk, but still, seems a little too harsh... On the other hand, I understand EG protecting their PR, just hope they wont punish Stephano in this manner for every single thing he pulls. Else there will either be no Stephano in tournaments or no Stephano in EG. | ||

When you represent professional organizations you cannot joke about having sex with someone underage (whether or not 14yo is underage in France doesn't matter much), and especially not abusing them. It is much worse that there was no clear indication that it was a joke, so people may just wonder. In any professional setting such unprofessional conduct could easily mean a 1 month suspension, or termination. Of course if Stephano actually committed such an offense the response will be much worse (I personally strongly believe it was a joke), but the mere suggestion that he might have is enough to warrant a 1 month suspension. Maybe EG could have predicted that Stephano would act unprofessionally, but that does not mean that they are not well within their rights to enforce the terms of the contract they signed with him. Stephano chose to sign with a professional team, and then you must act professional or face the consequences. | ||

You don't be as big as Stephano and be that careless when you know there are tons of youngsters looking up to him. With the amount of streams going on, you sure as hell better make sure that other person isn't streaming before you say something like that. And if wanting eSports to be professional, imagine what an NFL, NBA, MLB, or any pro athlete out there said this and it got leaked. -3 rep to EG for the slap on the wrist. 1 month without pay is nothing for what Stephano has made in his winnings within the last 3-6 months alone. | ||

And he is not hired as a programmer, or a data entry assistant, he is hired solely to represent EG and its sponsors in a favorable way. Therefore what he says matters a great deal more, than what someone with an ordinary job does (btw abuse of a 14yo is generally considered worse than dislike for your boss in most of the world). | ||
