Once it got to grandmasters, he continued to play the account for me regularly to keep bonus pool down/keep it active. While this happened, I put up a coaching profile to coach people. As I had never coached people, I did numerous hours of free coaching on my stream.
While this happened, Deathangel continued to play the account and I tried to do some coaching etc. In total, I had 3 paid coaching students. Any feedback on coaching I received was from free coaching and NOT paid coaching. I have since refunded those students and apologise if it was not helpful.
As people requested to see me stream, I asked Deathangel to stream on the account for me. He streamed regularly but charged $20-$30 an hour for each stream he did. Outside of streaming, each game that Deathangel played, he charged $3 per game, and as he regularly played for me, he did mini-discounts.
When I was invited to play any event - Millenium Girl Tournament & AGL Invitational - that he played, he took the entire prize, which I have also refunded to the organisers - I am sorry for this being under false pretenses. I have refunded the money that I never received as I gave it to DeathAngel.
We subsequently agreed to play Showmatches and he was very happy to do them - I gave him 100% of the prizes. I did not invoice SixPoolGaming for the showmatch against Sjow or Cytoplasm and so never received any money from them - However, I sent the relevant prize to DeathAngel immediately. I never received the MilleniumTV Tarson Showmatch money (yet), but I have already sent him the prize for that.
The entire thing was a terrible idea, and I apologise to all people who were hurt by this.
I am especially sorry to Z33K.TV and Z33K.Com as I grew the casting organisation with the casters and am sorry to leave it. Z33K.TV grew to cast Dreamhack Valencia, TSL Qualifiers, Pokerstrategy.com League and run its own $1,000 Team league and If I had stopped it earlier, perhaps we could've continued on to grow it more - I apologise for misleading you like this.
I am happy to step away from my position as head of Z33K.TV and will happily assist in any handover procedures necessary.
I am also sorry to sixpoolgaming.com for any damage caused to their reputation - they are a great site and helped me so much and I apologise to them.

Not unexpected but pretty good eye opener. If this is all true DA should not be forgiven so easily...

i can name a few other people who had good intentions... even if the outcome leaves people happy and better off than they were, the idea that you are selling this bullshit as an attempt at helping others... it speaks for itself. just go seek out some help for your narcissism. but no one ever cared about you anyways. so no harm, no foul... btw. i think you might have a personality disorder.

well, frankly, i feel like Deathangel went a little overboard and maybe pressured you into letting him do some of the things he did. I can understand why you deleted all of your VoD's and content, so that the situation would not blow wayyy out of proportion. It was responsible for you to return all the prizes you received, and it was respectful to apologize to the organizations you represented. However, you should be ashamed in taking the selfish way out and getting help from someone else (i.e. letting DA use your account) to reach GM, something many players strive to do. I respect your withdrawl from the community, and even though most people on this forum are probably gunna torch and pitchfork you even after this, this was mature of you to come out and apologize instead of completely avoiding the situation like Deathangel has. Good luck in the real world, and remember, hard work pays off.

Until her statements about refunds are confirmed by the other parties, there is no reason to believe her. Her bridges are already burnt, and she's cutting ties with this community. A con artist like this wouldn't mind saving some cash on the way out (even though this con was about more than cash).
I can understand DeathAngel's motivations here, and I get why he did what he did. There's a difference between that and condoning it though. It's an ugly world.

Well, this shit cray for sure.
The question I still have is did she really refund the tournament money and coaching money? If she did then at least that's good, but there is a lot of unaccounted for money here that seems really fishy.
|
This is getting ridiculous. Their statements mean nothing at this point. To lie as much as both of them clearly have, neither of them can be trusted again. The way these posts read, they aren't sorry for what they did, they're sorry for being caught and are throwing contradictory hail marys to try and remain in the scene. It's shameful.
Veralynn and DeathAngel have lied nonstop now for months, don't believe a word they say.

I think deathangel should be penalized in some way as well since he was an accomplice.

Any grammatical issues aside, DA's story is full of holes and misinformation... TBH at this point neither of them should be fully trusted..

So according to Vera, DeathAngel was paid the money for winning a female only tournament... Oh boy.
|
What she did was terrible, and DeathAngel is a mercenary (as probably other sc2 players) that knew what he was doing was wrong.
But giving back the money don't excuse of all what she did. Imo she's just a sick person (in a pathological way), and it's good we are not going to have her around.

Here's my two cents.
VeraLynn asked for coaching from DeathAngel and during the exchange, someone suggested that DeathAngel smurf on VeraLynn's account. I really have no way of knowing who started it, so I won't bother on speculation in this regard. Basically, what happened was VeraLynn was paying DeathAngel to smurf on her account, and DeathAngel got a lot more show match and tourney invites, and got to collect the winnings. DeathAngel gets to make quite a bit more money, and VeraLynn pays a fairly modest price for relative fame within a particular community.
