Short answer: Yes Long Answer: Right now in the beta You can play against other people in unranked matchmaking. The matchmaking Service tries to match you with people similar to your own skill (MMR) the same way it would with ranked matchmaking. In the beta you will face players from both ranked matchmaking and unranked matchmaking, this "mixed" matching might however change once it hits retail (most likely) where the unranked matching service and ranked match service never will meet each other. So if you play unranked matchmaking you will only meet other unkranked matchmaking players. Again nothing confirmed, but right now in the beta everyone plays everyone and the only real difference between ranked and unranked matchmaking is that unranked matchmaking players does not win or lose points as compared to a a ranked matchmaking player which, even if he meets an unranked player, still wins or loses points depending on if he wins or loses the game. | ||
