It seems to me like the bigger man is the one who's not held back by that kind of uncontrollable emotions.

User was temp banned for this post. that just sounds like unnecessary violence..

It is completely irrelevant to them how much Destiny suffers, or whether or not that suffering is 'enough' to balance out his behaviour. It is punishment ultimatly. Is it so hard to get this? You punish the player by getting him removed, thats why people are msging the sponsors. They want him to get kicked out of the team, as easy as that. Just look at the reddit threads its just vengance not "i dont feel like i can identify myself with the brand anymore because of destiny".

The power put in the hands of the haters when "contacting the sponsors" has this big of an impact is really terrible for e-sports. I don't buy for one second that the majority of the people contacting sponsors for negative feedback cares at all about ROOT or e-sports, they just want to take a piss at someone they personally dislike. I feel terrible for Catz being put in a situation where he needs to let Destiny go, and of course I feel terrible for Destiny who's at the mercy of a crazy bitch and lynch mob of 12 year olds.

It really is pathetic to be able to get entertained at the expense of others. You want personality? Lo and behold, it is actually possible to "have a personality" without shitting on others around you. For example: I watched this live and was thoroughly entertained, however nobody is bringing up that at one point Ganzi goes "I'm Gay!" and goes into some stereotypical and a bit exaggerated flamboyant "dance moves". What I don't understand is how that's not being attacked the same way? We have some consistent attacks on morality as if anyone is truly "right" about what should or shouldn't have happened here, despite there being no set rules or regulations determining this morality. I guess it all boils down to doing what you feel is right when you feel it's right, but there are people who will always be attacked because of what they've done in the past. It sucks, but I think it's just something we're going to have to deal with. I disagree very much with how this situation was handled, and I am a Destiny fan. But I can see where the community is coming from. I just don't know why we can't be consistent. Destiny refers to someone as a gook: is "forced" to leave his team Stephano makes a joke about the holocaust: nothing Rather than pursue legitimate and honest action against Destiny using the tools at her disposal (TL, Reddit, etc) Bluetea retaliates in a far stronger fashion than the initial issue and is applauded for her actions. We're pretty impossible to gauge as a community, I don't understand why anyone would try to interract with us. Not to say we're not worth it at times, but sometimes we've got to be next to impossible to understand.

This, on the other hand, is stupid. I feel like it's just a lot of Destiny haters looking for anything to jump on, and clinging to this when it came to light. People, guys and girls, talk about this kind of stuff in private ALL THE TIME. It's completely biologically natural. Also, Destiny shared pics that, while provocative, have been confirmed by sources to *not* have been nude. I can't see why writing to sponsors makes any sense. The self-righteous white knighting "for the sake of the community" is completely inappropriate and, I would bet, harmful in the long run. Don't make the gaming community seem like an insular club with a narrow-minded view of who should be accepted by the masses if you don't want the gaming to community to seem like an insular club that alienates people easily. For all the talk about people wanting to grow esports and appeal to a wider audience, this is basically the antithesis of that.

(And to whom you've given your passwords!) Indeed, I think most of us can agree that giving someone your twitter password, access to your skype logs and pictures of your penis is not a good combination, especially if you have a habit of talking about the person in question behind their back and calling them hideous.

And also, why is everyone obsessed with Destiny's personal life... Like, whenever he does something stupid suddenly it involves EVERYONE, with people going to his sponsors etc... I mean, try and picture this in real life... ya know, your at work, and some shit goes on at home with girls etc... >private life< stuff... Imagine if then everyone at work suddenly got involved... da fuq? It just seems to me that people who don't like him, in the same way I might not like certain music, just want to see him go away, rather than understanding that other people in the community find him really entertaining. Not to mention freedom of speech issues (remember the whole racism thing). I don't like some music... but I don't actively seek out ways to stop bands making music etc...

This wasn't part of Stevens public streaming as far as I understand. It's a private matter that stands apart from the public Steven that everyone here knows. Hence, the only correct action here for us is to have no opinion... it's simply a waste of energy to get all fuzzed up about this. By your reasoning then the same could be said about Tiger Wood's adultery. So thats enough punishment if you ask me. BUt no!! Start msging sponsors and making him kicked out from a team he was one of the founding members is completly wrong. Everyone has skeletons behind their closet.Somehow, one of his bad skeletons(private convo) got discovered and leaked out to the public. When something scandalous drama like this occur, there will almost be 100000000000000% massive negativity comments and response to the issue.Be it sports role model, idol celebrities, TV spokesperson. The feedback towards the scandal or drama will always be horrendous. That's why sponsors pulling out from this situation by not sponsoring the said team or voided the contract with the said team or person is very common.Almost a norm i dare say. They have to uphold their " image " for their brand. If the person or team they sponsored is involved in any drama like this one, it will negatively affected their brand image. What's Destiny did was pretty shitty but what the girl did wasn't pretty either. Regardless, this is a really bad situation for both parties and the team. That why Catz had no choice to kicked Destiny off the team.
