As emotionally invested as people are on this topic, TL rules still apply. That includes flaming and ad hominem attacks. |

as far as the feminist thing imo, yea it sucks, but it is just his job not his life. jobs come and go for all kinds of reasons. he should have been more careful, because if this shit had happened at any other kind of corporate type job, the same outcome could easily occur if it went public. life just isnt fair all the time. personally i see a problem with humanity when i look at this kind of shit not just a problem with this particular istance.
and the white knights? well just wait til they get into the real world. its probably mostly teenagers or freshmen. the truth is women are just as horny as men are, so this kind of thing goes both ways. they are both in the wrong for doing it imo. what bluetea should have done is went public with it but never showed the pics. and like i said before, neither one of them should have been messing around with people they work with in the first place in order to cover their asses.
and if anyone says that playing sc isnt like a normal job, then wtf do people do it for? monopoly money?

Good decision, with a player like that a team can never look professional. And this is not the first or second or third time etc. that he was involved in that kind of crap.

what if some other pro (god forbid I use names) with a girlfriend would cheat on his girlfriend at some point and somehow it would be leaked, should that pro be kicked off his team?

if that pro created bad rep for his sponsor, then it would be retarded for the team to keep him unless there was hope of salvaging the players rep. its not morals its business. do you think destiny would still create more positive feedback for your sponsors if he was kept on the team? if so maybe you should take it up with them

Not to mention that the white knights gloss over and/or defend Bluetea's worse actions. You also don't see them trying to have Bluetea punished. Ironic how the white knights don't realize there's few things more sexist and degrading towards women than putting pussy on a pedestal... probably because eye-for-an-eye is fucking retarded (so...what stops bluetea from finding some way to retaliate after destiny phones her work/school, under your caveman philosophy?) and that both of them have acted against each other already, but no it's clearly that everyone is a sexist and not because enough has been done. You dont even get what hes saying, fucking sad dude. this is your second post to me saying nothing of import whatsoever. please to be of more use to community and discussion, thx. Haven't paid any attention to your discussion with Labunko, but he's completely right. You completely missed the point, try again with better reading comprehension please. Not to mention the fact that if "eye-for-an-eye" is "fucking retarded", then why are you so supportive of a certain feminist hate group's actions in persecuting Bluetea? 2) destiny's role in every step: none of this had to happen, none of it was foretold. there are so many different places along the way where destiny could have done better, not the least of which is not sharing nude photos. no matter how many times internet tough bros have said "everyone does it"...it's simply not true, the world isn't big enough for that many enormous assholes.
The point is that running to the sponsors is completly out of proportion. If you complain to a sponsor you ultimately want him removed from the team and lose his job. You want people to lose their jobs (well not just referring to destiny here i m talking more general) just because they did one dick move? How pathetic is that. People are forcing consequences totally out of proportion to the orginial misstep. Well they dont have a problem if another person is getting punished, it doesnt effect them. "Woha this guy said something mean he should lose his job." You dont see this just in this case you see it everywhere. People are so quick by draconic punishment for minor missteps. Imagine if destiny wasnt a popular streamer and just a regular progamer relying on the money he gets from the team, the consequences would be a lot more severe.

There is a huge difference in the sponsor getting rid of the player because he is thinking the player doesnt represent the brand anymore or if people of the community are forcing the issue by writing emails. Furthermore the sponsors shouldnt consider this option in the first place because people shouldnt give a fuck.

what's the point of asking us when it'd be up to the sponsor, their preferences and how much pressure they're willing to exert, as well as the team captain?
regardless of all the ways this is a stupid hypothetical, there's more nuance to circumstances that lead up to cheating rather than just destiny literally deciding for no reason to distribute pics to you and TT1. for probably the fifth time, one of the biggest reasons why destiny has caught so much heat is that there's no mitigating circumstances for his initial action whatsoever besides "well, fuck her, we need fap material."

Most of that falls into the third ultra summarized point I made. And if you really thought I was trying to summarize the entirety of the thread in a serious way, then I don't really know what to say.
I don't like the things you brought up; I don't see how you came to the conclusion that I did, besides really wanting to argue. But this thread isn't having proper discussion about them in the first place.

are you kidding me? the people in the community are the people the sponsors are trying to reach. theyre the only people the sponsors should care about. maybe people shouldnt give a fuck, but if they do then the sponsors have to care too. they have to win the people to their side its why they are sponsoring in the first place. this is just the way people are, dont get mad at them get mad at humanity for being human i guess

look, I give you props because you're almost the last person in here that isn't just throwing "RARGH REDDIT FEMINIST HYPOCRITES" around but your arguments keep coming down to "well, it's really mean to do that to him just because he's a backwards neanderthal..."
I find it so unnerving that people find other people advocating for more accountability, especially in terms of expressing utter dick viewpoints and being properly admonished for them, something to be described as "pathetic". the idea that it doesn't affect me to see destiny punished for doing expressly stupid things is simply wrong because the entire reason to do it is to help stamp out poor behavior and set the standard for e-sports and society in general. the ability for destiny to be unique and in a unique position comes with increased expectations because he has a huge audience; this is essentially the most basic concept about being in the public eye. if he can't handle it and consistently does dumb things - things that are so dumb, he cannot even begin to salvage them, as we've seen again...and again... - why should he be afforded the privilege? has he not had enough chances yet?

where are you getting it from that you should be handed financial and social opportunities based on your ethics? and what comprises good or bad ethics in the first place?
this really isnt realistic at all. if he could have gotten away with it the sponsors would have let it go. they arent doing it because they think hes a bad person

I think everything that needs to be said has been said. There is no need for a 140 page thread with the same comments being re-hashed over and over. Let's focus some of this attention towards the actual game.
