One thing is for sure, this will probably be dragged out.

Well, the WCS player interviews will be interesting. Parting was suppose to play in OSL and Rain is in OSL as well.

This is basically the ultimate kirifuda for the ESF. And it's a hella risky one.
It's effectively a huge bluff. If KeSPA refuses to play ball, the Auction All-Kill OSL is ruined completely, loses all integrity. And thus, the Brood War fans will not have a bridge from the Tving Starleauge to the AAK Starleague and Star2. And this hurts ESF and GSL in the long run, because it severely limits their players' growth and exposure.
But if it works, it prevents a repeat of several years ago when GOM's league was harmed by KeSPA's disagreement with GOM. It takes a lot of power away from KeSPA and establishes an important precedent.
You've got big balls, ESF. Let's hope KeSPA does the reasonable thing and plays ball.

But thumbs up to ESF, show kespa they can't fuck GOM over just like that who actually made the effort to promote sc2. Now Kespa can risk and put everything on 1 card, they say "fine" play kespa vs kespa OSL, train their players, players somehow gets better than GOM ones and by market rules people will want to watch Kespa players, and Kespa will smile and say, welcome to our land. Problem is the current OSL though. Almost half of them pulled out. Where is kespa going to find replacements? B teamers?

Oh shit it's on now. Time to bust out the popcorn. Haven't had such quality e-sports drama in a while now.

Guess not.
Seriously, GOM & co are such drama queens.
The ESF teams made this decision independently of GOM, GOM has nothing to do with this. Khaldor and Wolf just said this on the WCS Broadcast that the GOM staff didn't even know they held a meeting and decided to forfeit.

The korean blizz rep said that they would be making a statement tomorrow(which is today) so probably later on today they will have a statement.
To be fair to them though, if they weren't given any heads up about this move from the eSports federation, they'd probably have to spend quite a bit more time looking into the issues and finding out more stuff before making a fair statement.

The eSF players decided for themselves. KeSPA told their players "fuck it you're not participating." Big difference.

I'm actually not surprised by this and I expected this as soon as broodwar players announced they'd play SC2. I even think it is a good thing. Why? These are nothing more than birthing pains that Esports needs in order to become stronger and more consolidated. YOu can't expect things to get aligned so quickly with all the financial and political interests at stake. This event hopefully provides a venue to flesh out any rough edges before we can have a stable situation in Korean SC2.
I also recognize the subtleties. First, I think Kespa is conceding that they are the weaker lot at this moment and that their players are not ready to face GOM level competition. Second, GOM is standing strong, not allowing Kespa freebies off their talent pool. I wonder now that Kespa won't have exposure to GOM talent, how will they improve their players? Will natural talent and infrastructure be enough?

GomTV has no real control over ESF.
ESF has been, however, supported by GomTV and it's prize winnings for Code A/Code S for a long time until teams got sponsors after a long time or until they got disbanded.
So it makes sense that they want to protect the people who have been supporting them from day one when there was virtually no domestic support.

Because OGN is part of Kespa committee that had a say in GSL boycott. They deserve it.

Seriously, GOM & co are such drama queens. Just an FYI this is the players decisions. Nothing to do with GOM the players want to react themselves. Isn't that funny now you can't blame GOM as they don't have ANY control over the players in what they play or not.
Yes, let's trust bland PR statements because they're definitely being honest. -_-
It's literally the same thing on both sides and for literally the same reasons. Except the GSL players already committed to playing in OSL.
And GOM and ESF are close enough that it's silly to say it has nothing to do with GOM.
