I'd really would like to learn more about the match-up as it looks pretty poorly so far in HotS custom. I'm just not sure if they would show anything even remotely resembling a real game. | ||

Tanks are actually quite good against Protoss units, they scale incredibly well and can tear apart even an army of immortals when you have enough of them (a small handful of ghosts is always nice to have though). The problem is that your Tanks will get torn to pieces if they aren't well-supported, which is something difficult to do right now (though if you can do it, you'll win most any direct engagement with a Protoss army). In Brood War, Tanks had Vultures to complement them. I think that the Warhound and Battle hellion will serve as excellent supports for Tanks come Heart of the Swarm. Warp prisms will still be a problem, but widow mines will help greatly with that. I actually really hope they keep Carriers in Heart of the Swarm, they're currently one of the best late-game answers to mech and I think they'll become much more relevant in the expansion when many Terrans start going mech. Looking really forward to this battle report! | ||
