From Day9tv:
Want to get a glimpse into what TvP looks like in Heart of the Swarm? Look no further! On Monday, August 13th at 7pm, we'll watch the third Heart of the Swarm Battle Report with me (Day[9]) and Rob Simpson!
This reminds me of the German saying "Nur der Esel nennt sich selbst zuerst." I believe there is no English saying that comes close (it literally means "Only a donkey mentions himself first"), but I think in English it is also considered impolite to mention oneself before other persons? Sorry for being a bit off-topic, but that caught my eye.
Looking forward to this to see more of the new units in action, though the games are always far away from being played seriously, it's usually just a show

Very nice! Looking forward to more HotS stuff ♥
|
I just watched the first 2 HotS battle reports and I might actually start watching SC2 again when it comes out, it just looks more fun.
Tempest looks very useless though and I feel Widow Mines need to be changed a bit (they seem OP right now, just throw 100 of them at an enemy with a bit of cover fire and watch everything blow up). I like the concept, just not the execution.
Still, the Zerg stuff and most of the protoss/terran stuff I like.

OMG ROB SIMPSON!
And also HURRAY!
Love blizzard woot
can't wait for this!

If actual TL mods deem a thread pointless or not worthy, then they will close it down, as they have always done. Why shit up a thread if you dont care/dont think its thread worthy?
Ill be watching this battle report, i had no idea one was coming out. Thread did its job of informing me
Wannabe mods trying to mod other wannabe mods are much worse.

i was wondering why we didn't see a TvP battle report before... the TvZ and PvZ reports were exciting, if anything...
|
I was so excited until I saw August 13th. So anti-climactic.

Can't wait to see the Protoss army get completely destroyed by a Warhound/Battlehellion/Viking/X composition.

My hope is that all the core Terran compositions (pure bio, bio+mech, pure mech) will become viable in TvP similar to how they are situationally viable in TvT and TvZ. One of my favorite parts of SC2 is how Terran has a lot of options in unit composition in TvT and TvZ. In BW, mech was pretty much the only viable composition in TvP and TvT aside from some rushes and risky timing attacks, and although BW mech was beautiful to watch, I've always wished bio could be a viable alternative similar to how there are a lot of viable compositions in BW TvZ such as SK Terran, bionic, and pure mech.
Although I hope mech becomes viable in HotS, I don't want to see bio completely die off. Watching exceptional bio control is very entertaining, and the composition allows for a lot of constant aggression that can be fun to watch and execute.

It's a good manners rule that's infrequently taught and frequently forgotten. Whether it will be considered rude is mostly dependant on context. This being Day[9] almost nothing will come off as a rude when you think of it being said in the high-pitched happy voice that he speaks with.

I'm pretty happy that Sky-Terran is becoming viable in late game TvZ and to some extent in TvT (Boxer vs Rain) as well, would like to see that explored in TvP (maybe with the BC "sprint")! But for starters I'd be happy if anything if anything in addition to bio became viable with HotS!

Thanks for making this thread, I had no idea. I can't wait to watch that.

Well from the way it looks like were gonna see alot of metal Maruaders .

Cant wait to see this. Should be neat.

whats the big deal? the hots custom has been out that plenty of people already understand how TvP will work. I won't even watch it because it's going to be another demonstration rather than a real game, and we all know protoss will end up winning
|
Hope its not like the other HOTS battle report that was obviously staged..
|
I don't care about battle reports. I just want Heart of the Swarm released!
