Allowing them to be more aggressive without having to go all-in is definitely an improvement over WoL play. is it? it means they can attack with essentially zero risk at a bazillion new (more variable) timings neither of the other two races do that, including the one with gigantic map awareness (zerg) and the one with long range units (terran) the reason protoss has things like observers and oracles is that they're supposed to be about planned, decisive moments...not waddling zealots across the map, killing a queen and flying back for free it's gonna be gross!

It's a joke to basically have to fast expo against something that can be an all-in coming. If they make banshees I'm supposed to make a unit that loses to everything in the game and can't even take a banshee 1 on 1? Wtf kinda stupid counter is that? Gateway units are worthless without upgrades. 1/1/1 abuses that way too hard. Combine that with having to expo quickly... Takes so little skill to execute the 1/1/1 in comparison to defending it. If the super cannon was the only thing they added for toss, I'll take it. Good expansion. Anything else is a bonus. I wasn't aware people were having much of an issue dealing with the 1/1/1 anymore? It was pretty bad back in the day agreed but the standard builds of both races have evolved a bit, it's rarer for me to see one work, from my level to pro level, than it is to see it succeed Still never forgiving Puma for doing it vs MC time after time in that IEM Cologne though ![]()

Actually, there is an interesting situation: 22 range of tempest MINUS 9 range of a viking equals 13 - range of tanks. Don't know how it will work, but you can't snipe tempest with your vikings over your sieged tanks because of stalkers sitting below a tempest still outrange your viking. But you can snipe an observer. I'm actually like a tempest, but mothership core is BS: 60 damage with 13 range? This is x2 as good as tank. Oracle seems not interesting, pretty one-dimensional. But still not "one-dimensional" like battlehellion and warhound.

It's like a better version of the Phoenix harass that doesn't require any multitasking to use. Agreed. Why would anyone even go Mutalisk in HotS? Hey look, everybody! This guy already figured out how the game will be played. You don't know shit. None of you. User was temp banned for this post.

They can do that once. With a high-energy Mothership Core. And yeah, actually, Terran/Zerg can do that because their early game units aren't so expensive that losing two of them puts them 200 gas behind.

If people say it's okay I'll buy it. If it's a mess I'm waiting until LoV and hoping Blizzard gets their shit together so that expansion isn't a complete mess also.

The only difference between that and the bio play is that bio actually requires skill. No siege lines, no slow pushes... Just a-move. At least make the Warhound missles manual cast... The lack of ideas in that design team is mind bogling. Do they really want to remove all micro and any other form of skill from the game, or they are just clueless... IDK at this point. "Mech" is refered as just mainly building mechanical units. Has been since fucking bw. Its just so happened that some mech units are more mobile now. Also jesus ppl are making a big deal out of 1 game. They were clearly aiming not to win but to show off all the units. Its like 2/3 of the ppl in this thread werent here for the sc2 beta. The game played drastically different then what was shown on some fucking battle reports

Also, recall allowing Protoss to do all-ins and bail as soon as they get in trouble. It's like Blizzard wants to screw over the earlygame. Nothing needs to be said about the Tempest. Get rid of it and bring back the Carrier. And it's nice to see that my predictions on how bad warhounds and battle hellions would be were pretty much spot on. Also, lolacle. The only thing that has any potential in HotS is the widow mine, and even that needs a couple of big changes. Why is Blizzard doing this to us?
