Maybe it's just me but I think blizzard want the tempest to snipe infestors, without getting hit by fungal growth.

On the zergs end, we might see a similar scenario to the warp prism/ht micro that goes on in pvt.

I dont like the viper pull. imo it makes high tier units just some kind of useless.
Edit: i just thought about the pull and Neural, i think it may be really strong

as it is tempest might help with attrition.
with the cost of upgrade and beacon, unless you get 4-5 of them its meaningless. less then 4 wont be enought to snipe tanks/broodlords/swarmhosts/warhounds, any more you got too much suplly invested in a pretty weak combat unit, so they will overwhelm you anyway.

if maps allow it they might force a dedicated air to air force, but thats standart vP anyway.

Tempest has base dps of 8,16. Roach base dps is 8

Tempest does more dps than roach.

Also, tempest seems to be yet another good siegebreaker unit for protos. Also, did tempest do splash damage? it would very well compensate for the lowish dps

I think they need to buff tanks so terran can deal with all the new zerg units and hydras otherwise they seem completely useless.
All I do is Stim.
