As far as I'm aware they aren't in this build of the alpha. That ability was probably taken out because Ultra burrow-charge became so powerful with the emerging-damage/knockback.

New info on Nydus Worms:

No, the nydus worm didn’t look quite ready for being shown today. The art was super rough, the art guys were super rushed into getting something done and it didn’t hit. It was really bad. We had only temp stuff, we didn’t get the chance to do anything. We’re still very passionate about the idea, it’s still in the build and when we launch a beta it will most certainly be there unless we feel awful about it but I don’t think we will.

So there are two new nydus worm that you can make from the nydus network. One is a nydus worm that spews creep in a direction, quite a distance right now so you can create a creep highway and go wherever you want to go. And the second is a nydus worm that you can spawn and attack enemy building only, no units. So you can use that when the mutalisk raid gets shut down which it often does: there are too many mutalisks on the map, the blink stalkers are out, the photon cannons are in play, maybe the thors and the widow mines are out. Then there are no more mutalisks and the zerg raiding just ends. In this case, the raiding will be able to continue. You can’t kill workers with it but potentially you can kill key pylons, damage or kill tech labs, stuff like that.

And there’s still the regular nydus worm so there are three worms in total that can be produced.

No you're not the Reaper is made even worse than he currently is in every MU other then TvT where he'll be a pain in the ass. 7 Range is more than Marines in a Bunker which means Gasless FE builds would be dead since any build without techlab rax staight up dies :O

So i guess it's gonna be insta-gg for terran once hive gets out. That TvZ battle they showed was so one sided it wasnt even funny.

Dustin Browder on mech in TvT and TvP. Hopefully they get the balance right before launch.

And then for terrans – TvT matches can get a little stale. Pro players have shown how they can break that but even then it can evolve into Viking wars and tank lines and we’d like to see more options for players to get out of those scenarios. And terrans never ever go factory against protoss. Ever. And we don’t want to make it a dominant strategy, we want to make it an option for terran players. We’d like them to go “OK, I can either go mech, or I can go bio. What does the map dictate? What do I think my opponent’s going to do?” So we think there are definitely opportunities for improvements.

Probably because that Terran player was absolute shit and made a ton of battle hellions to fight mass hydra for no reason...? Don't try and judge balance from internal games made purely to showcase new units.

Why would you make Reapers fight against Queens or Stalkers? You just go to the enemy base: snipe any workers you can,while enemy is trying to kill you with Queens,Stalkers or MArines,and when see your Reapers hurt badly just leave.Wait 20 secs and go again in same base or another one.As you see,no need of medivacs,Just a a lot of micro,and if they confirm his range is 7...They outrange Queen by 2 and stalkers by 1

This will break TvT big time... Ive got a better suggestion, nerf the frigging queen back to what it was, reapers still had some use in TvZ until that

Yeah man those gauss pistols really tear down bunkers, it's not like repair can counter their low DPS vs armored and the marines will zone out the reapers from hitting the SCVs with good positioning.

imo I think this thread should be renamed the terran thread now. I go into here hoping for some a discussion and just read terran sucks, terran won't be played in hots, etc and all from a battle report rofl.

well the reaper now has 2 range more than the queen does and regens out of combat with a 50/50 upgrade, jsut have 3 around while you;re harassing early game, you can either still kite queens or pick off a couple of drones, micro the injured reapers back a bit and retreat to come back with full hp once again after 10 seconds...

you're right reapers might not have a place in tvp, but that's true for a bunch of other units aswell.

And how long can you actually do that ? Once the Toss has 2-3 Stalkers its shutdown and once speed is done against Zerg you lose your Reapers. How much can you actually kill with that 2-3 workers tops maybe ? Is that the whole porpuse of the Reaper to maybe kill a worker or two and become useless later ? The regeneration ability does nothing for longevity of Reapers hell it becomes redundant once Medivacs are out. Speed was a gazillion times better. At least the would had potential to quickly enter a base and might even had a chance to leave again without speed hell no.

Lol what? The reapers will outrange marines in a bunker, thats the point. Even if you repair the reapers can just move around the bunker, and how is a range 5 marine supposed to "zone out" a range 7 reaper that also has a speed advantage?
