22 range lol. That totally won't get changed by release. Need to see a lot of this stuff in action, but sounds like good changes in general, looks like they can patch things now instead of completely rework.

You really think so? Chess has 6 different pieces (6 units!). There are pro chess players and noobies. Both can enjoy the game at their own level. Now imagine if instead it had 12 different pieces, but you could only use 6 (types) in one game. What would that do: well, the pros will play with different pieces than the noobies, basically making it a different game! You don't see anything wrong with that?

The pro's would still use the power. It would cause their opponenent plenty of issues even if it didnt hit which it will sometimes if they arent watching closely.

They'd place the mines at untaken enemy expansions. Worker gets sent to take a new base, gets a big surprise when they arrive.

After watching the hype video the 22 range tempest looked like the one unit that I will be least likely to make when I play protoss.

tanks look really useless in TvP and TvZ now..... or is it only because the way they show it in the video. i don't know how i like about the new units, they all seem pretty Op, especially viper's pull. the range needs to be reduced to 4~5.

Not that surprising considering Dustin Browder was one of the lead designer of RA2

I think these things make going skytoss muuuuuuch safer to zerg all ins, and possibly viable against terran. I am all in favor of some variety in our arsenal! On the other hand, I think cloaking field might be a bit OP when it comes to base defenses. How is zerg supposed to put on any pressure if they can't even see the wall in? Maybe baneling busts since the splash damage could still be affective?

I definitely hope mech will now be a viable option for PvT! Are the mines a full on unit? or are they deployed ala BW? Still not sold on the swarm host, and that burrow charge is hilarious

At the very least, I like these new changes to toss more than the originally implemented plan

22 Range seems a bit extreme lol; mutalisks might become the new hydralisk (which might become the new mutalisks with speed upgrade). I'm really liking the new ability they gave to the Oracle though with cloak field if it stays. It'll be interesting to see how Terran/Zerg handle that.
