Mutas are being phased out, most high level zergs don't even use them anymore, Infestors are the way to go nowadays. Terran players have no problem dealing with mutas, especially on maps like Cloud Kingdom and Entombed where harassing the main is impossible due to it being tucked in neatly behind the natural and 3rd. There trying to make mech viable tvz without a thor. And that is the only unit terran has to survive against mutas around the 9-12 minute mark. Thats assuming you go like reactor hellion, expand, 2 more factories, or something similar to that. Where marines are not an option and vikings don't really work because you need to many for them to be effective against mutalisks. So mech does need something that at least shoots up.

Protoss now have aerial siege that can hit both ground and air targets, collosi mobility-range-and-splash, storm, and archon splash?? I'm switching to toss then. additional aoe splash damage is the last thing protoss needs. It wont have splash It's going to do what the voidray does without being super flimsey.

This is what I meant by having my eyes opened. Yes I realised long time ago something was off especially compared to BW but somehow seeing it written down and explained so simply made it so much more clearer and obvious It's nice and all that you don't like sc2, but it is a really good game, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't. There are people who don't like bw for whatever reason and think it is worse, it's all opinion. It obviously is a good esport if people think it is, people don't lie to themselves on what they enjoy. There are people who enjoy watching and playing sc2, and some only enjoy watching, they obviously enjoy it as why would you force yourself to watch something you don't like or think is mediocre as you seem to think? I am fine with bw players not liking sc2, I love both but it is super annoying to see you guys just rip on sc2 constantly and then complain when some people go to the bw forum and say something you disagree with when you do the same thing.

What is P getting that indicates this will change?

Also, the Viper's ability will not be nearly as effective as Dark Swarm was in BW -- this ability only reduces your range to 1, it doesn't reduce your ranged damage to 0. It will still be good, depending on what 1 range really means, but it won't be that great, especially if you're good at splitting your units. It probably won't even be better than Fungal in most situations unless its AoE is a lot bigger. I agree Mass Recall has got to go. It would break PvZ in an unfixable way because there's only two possible outcomes. 1) Protoss pushes out 2) Zerg is forced to make units 3) Protoss Recalls 4) Instant indirect damage with no repercussions OR 1) Protoss pushes out 2) Zerg didn't make units or units are too late 3) Protoss wins A scenario where you can just push out and either outright win, or retreat with a guaranteed zero losses while at the same time doing indirect damage to the opponent, is incredibly bad design. The only way Mass Recall could ever find a place in the game would be as a tier 3 ability. It can still be on the Nexus but it needs to be unlocked by tech. I like the Vipers ability. It shouldn't be as good as Dark Swarm because its much earlier in tech.

After I watched several games of competitive BW, even if I was a SC2 player and started with SC2, I already knew something was wrong and irreversible within the game design. Also this video shows it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7k3ZM6bQx4 That video is just laughable. The only point it made was the mothership, which is being removed. (woohoo!)

But seriously a range unit for terran that functions like the tank, and a siege unit for the protoss that reads just like it's a carrier? The tempest now just sounds like a carrier that 100% gave up on micro. It's just an air-colossus without splash. Maybe it will have 12 range or something just for the lulz.

I think a lot of the changes are stupid, but they did take out some stuff that was goign to make the game horrible (shredders, replicant), but I think they still have some work to do, as the viper still sounds OP versus terran (obv we haven't played with it, but it sounds like it will break the game) and the idea of making the thor have a spider mine that fucking blows the shit out of all your overlords or mutas (if you're dumb enough to make those in hots) is really bad. I think the fact that they didn't get enough negative feedback with those fucking nexus abilities for them to say "forget that" does a diservice to us. If protoss really gets an ability on the nexus that makes it so you cannot fucking harass a protoss player, No one is going to play terran or zerg. If I do my diligance and scout out his army and catch him in a bad spot and run a bunch of roaches, lings or mutas into his undefended 3rd or natural or something, and he can just say, "whew, good thing DB is on our side, BLINK, and they are not punished at all, that's REALLY bad.

Yes I know, forgot to say to ignore the aesthetics remarks but it shows the most annoying problem with SC2 imo, that of unit clumping. And at that time it was in alpha stage, but maybe they couldn't change the AI pathing anyway.

It was pretty bad at times, it took bw and a huge patch to really get things going for sc1. Blizz hasn't done the best job in sc2, but considering how vanilla sc1 was and how sc2 is, they are doing pretty good.

We are also experimenting with an extremely long-ranged terran missile launcher that can be used to break siege tank lines to make terran-vs.-terran factory-based games more dynamic. .... TvT is the most dynamic mirror in the game...
