You don't think people throw insults at each other in real life? It happens all the time. Nobody goes to jail for it. (as long as it is just insults and not threats or something of that nature)

that's pretty funny, she must be new to the internet

How is 44,000 and 7 years in prison even remotely equal to being called a "bad name" online. Grow the fuck up, are they seriously that sheltered in Korea?

I don't feel you understand that it's the maximum possible. Not something he is likely to get. Maybe you need to educate yourself a tad more or re read the thread.

Shes completely out of control.

To be fair, I think it is important to note that 44,000 and 7 years is just the maximum penalty for defamation in Korea. I doubt this guy's punishment would be anywhere close to that.

Wow... I thought only Americans sued over nothing.

Im surprised people are reacting this way. Its wrong for some people to say something wrong about a player like Dragon, and its wrong to use the N-word but its ok to be sexist and sexually harass a team manager? All over the internet?
Oh thats right I forgot the Netizen doesn't have a job in the esports community so its not important.
Seriously guys, I think we all need to agree that this kind of thing is bad and jessica is just acting in whatever way she feels is right for herself. Its a personal attack and Jessica is responding with a civil suit not much else she can do. I think she just wants to send a public message that sexually harassing a woman over the internet is wrong.

i am saying you don't insult random strangers on the street in real life, and if you'd tried you would get
a) shunned by society b) knocked out c) arrested and sent to mental insitution for testing
but on the internet, yeah, let's insult random people because we have anonimity.

I'm aware of it considering all the times this shit pops up especially with her and the suicide rate.
Fun times.
Doesn't change the fact that I find it silly.

this is called defamation charge and it happen very often.

to be fair it seems like the guy's been bothering her/slayers for a long time now. simply banning someone from a chat won't necessarily stop them if they know how to circumvent bans if they know what they're doing. everyone has a point where they just don't want to deal with it any more. I suppose this is slayer_jessica's

LOL wow jessica being completely ridiculous yet again. grow some thicker skin, it's the real world, welcome to it.
|
"Cyber Defamation"? Why is that a crime? Very much nanny-state.
I also find it odd how Beloved Emperor could be attracted to such a seemingly neurotic woman.
|
If jessica cannot handle the internet trolls, she should get the f**k off the internet. -_-

Sorry. I forgot to mention that my post comes from an American perspective where the existence of defamation is very hard to prove.

When I first watched BoxeR's Wings I had a lot of respect for Jessica, but as time has gone on, she's become increasingly annoying and immature.
Seriously, block the guy from chat or ignore him. Sueing him? So immature (almost as immature as telling some girl over the internet to "suck my dick").
Think about it like this: you can either A) ruin some kid/guy's life for some dumb trolling or you could B) ignore him and be the bigger person. You'd think in a position such as Jessica's you'd choose the latter for PR purposes... and for just not being an immature asshole in general.
We've all said some dumb things over the internet at times, and I understand that this is supposedly a "repeated offense", but c'mon...
