It happens all the time. Nobody goes to jail for it. (as long as it is just insults and not threats or something of that nature) | ||

To be fair, I think it is important to note that 44,000 and 7 years is just the maximum penalty for defamation in Korea. I doubt this guy's punishment would be anywhere close to that. | ||

Seriously guys, I think we all need to agree that this kind of thing is bad and jessica is just acting in whatever way she feels is right for herself. Its a personal attack and Jessica is responding with a civil suit not much else she can do. I think she just wants to send a public message that sexually harassing a woman over the internet is wrong. | ||

Seriously, block the guy from chat or ignore him. Sueing him? So immature (almost as immature as telling some girl over the internet to "suck my dick"). Think about it like this: you can either A) ruin some kid/guy's life for some dumb trolling or you could B) ignore him and be the bigger person. You'd think in a position such as Jessica's you'd choose the latter for PR purposes... and for just not being an immature asshole in general. We've all said some dumb things over the internet at times, and I understand that this is supposedly a "repeated offense", but c'mon... | ||
