I mean, I see why it might be too late for his baggage, just throw it into the next plane, but why not let him on board? (I was in a similar situation once and the employees at the airport were more merciful). I was in a situation like this before. Me and my girlfriend were going to washington and in our connecting flight to portland the plane we were just on arrived late because the engine was frosted so we weren't getting any air conditioning and it was ridiculously hot on our previous flight but anyways they have to weight the plane before take off and if you go onboard they have to re-weigh the plane coincidentally it was the exact same airline.

Bring a book, or have your laptop with you, it is a very minor inconvenience compared to missing the flight.

But ye sad and really unlucky For an international flight this is definitely the case (in Australia anyway). Meanwhile domestic flights operate on the assumed rule of being there about an hour beforehand. From what I've heard about American airport security etc I would imagine that it would be a much longer though getting through all that BS and you'd want to be there a lot earlier.

Usually, even for international flights, you can get through security and check your luggage in well under two hours. The reason you show up early is to account for unexpected situations exactly like this one where there is a traffic jam.

Generally you can actually get through American security through quite quickly. I generally make it through in about 10, 15 minutes at most. Absolutely depends on if you get selected for additional screening or not ( I never have). But just be quick about it, go through the backscatter and don't ask for a patdown and you will get through just fine 95% of the time. Of course the bigger and busier the airport it sometimes takes longer, this is for medium sized airports.

I sincerely hope that all the stress and sleep deprivation this incident has caused doesn't affect your gameplay. Best of luck in the up coming tournaments. Remember to be happy about the little things, such as the first class ![]()

It's often still a good idea if your flight is critical. Terrible luck, but happy birthday!
