Or she didn't realize that Select just had to leave, not having his luggage with him wouldn't be a big deal. He probably could have gotten on the flight if he had volunteered to not have his luggage with him. Well, airport employees are very often not helpful. ![]() I usually aim to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight and I never check baggage, unless I'm literally moving to another country for an extended period. There's so many things that can go wrong with checked baggage, it's better to just become a pro packer/clothes roller and use airtight bags. I'm really glad Select made it onto the flight though and in boss style. I hope he gets to play his LR matches.

Something can always happen on the way, and airports can be unreasonable crowded. If you aim to be at the airport 40 mins in advance, and you have to travel a long distance to get there, there's way too many things that can happen to you. Car accidents are standard and they happen every now and then. If you are planning your flights in a way where a traffic jam means you won't catch your flight you're doing something wrong. It really sucks to miss a flight due to a car accident but leaving two hours in advance is by no means enough if you are traveling through a lot of traffic and want to be safe. Maybe this is a European thing but I always get to the airport atleast 2 hours in advance, even though it's only a 20 minute drive to Schiphol. Possibly because the flights I usually go on aren't short and I sure as hell don't want to miss them.

San Diego, CA: yea, i'll make sure to get there crazy early, even with an online check-in. Arcata, CA: I can definitely show up 40-45 minutes before departure and be fine (assuming I check in online).
