I've gone through JFK at least a half dozen times when there's only 1 security line open with 6 people standing around doing nothing, and the lines for security and checking baggage are enormous.I usually aim to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight and I never check baggage, unless I'm literally moving to another country for an extended period. There's so many things that can go wrong with checked baggage, it's better to just become a pro packer/clothes roller and use airtight bags. I'm really glad Select made it onto the flight though and in boss style. I hope he gets to play his LR matches. | ||

San Diego, CA: yea, i'll make sure to get there crazy early, even with an online check-in. Arcata, CA: I can definitely show up 40-45 minutes before departure and be fine (assuming I check in online). | ||

I know first hand how unhelpful airport personnel can be. Last time I flew, I was going Athens to Pittsburgh with a connecting flight in Atlanta. The flight in greece got delayed so we arrived in Atlanta literally 15 mins before our flight to pittsburgh took off. As most of our plane was also making the connecting flight, we approached an airport employee at customs(which had a ridiculously long line) and filled her in with our situation. She responded(this is the exact working) "You can wait in fucking line like everyone else", turned her back and walked away. Over 60 of us missed the flight to Pittsburgh... no wonder the airline companies went bankrupt. | ||
