I care only about the highest level of play, thats why i prefer Korean players. I do however enjoy seeing foreigners competing in Korean tournaments. But when i look in the booth and see a foreign player sitting there id much rather know that they got there through effort and talent, not being given a free seed to boost viewership. I suggest all new SC2 fans go watch some courage videos to gain some perspective on what it took to be a professional gamer in BW. I love the loose and fun "everyone can play" attitude SC2 has brought, but im personally ready to see it become serious again as it was in BW, where you are either good, or you leave. Let the foreigners earn their place. Take a look at Nony's courage video:

Yea Captain, it's so much more meaningful when foreigners have to work for it. Ret fighting his hardest to get through Courage > random person given token charity spot in ro32.

So how is it possible to get upcoming talent into the leagues? You have to stop thinking from a BW mentality. In BW, when a player became really dominant he stayed there for months. This is a completely in SC2, the dominant players change so much and get beaten by less skilled players so regularly enforcing pro gaming licenses would just mean a stagnant competition.

I doubt that that will change with OGN.

The current GOMTV system is an effective way of weeding out bad players. I just wish they would stop giving seeds away for free...

Agree that they shouldn't give away seeds for free, but i don't have problems with giving away seeds for placing highly in other tournaments. Without those MMA and DRG would probably still be in Code A/B..

Funnily enough, I'm pretty mad about the move. As for the sc2 PL, it was pretty obvious it was bound to happen soon. Terrible move.

No one becomes really dominant and stays there for months . So many up and down's can happen especially in proleague and we are talking about pro gaming licenses here, bw system means player has to go through qualifiers and ton's of competition to get the most sought after pro gaming license . Hence only a few players will be able to get it and those who do get it are the cream of de coupe of the bunch of players . Sc2 having these will whittle down the no namers and ensure only the best get's in .
