Someone actually bragged about it to me in a ladder game. Something like "like my portrait?" "bet you don't have it, it's new" etc. I rolled my eyes so hard that they almost got stuck.

I like the look of the portrait though

Don't have it or use it; to each his own.

i pretty much 1-attempted every level except the one where you fight the raven/marauder/tanks/vikings as protoss and the 3 marines vs 2 zealots, which i got in like 3 or 4

I always have 200ms ping, it's impossible to do it online, even though I managed to finish it on single player. Too bad Blizzard don't release the achievements when it's done on single player mode.

From reading blizzards description, I thought the map was actually going to be challenging... I know, I must be nuts. I beat all 30 levels in about an hour, and half the people in chat channels had the portrait unlocked on the first day.

Yeah, it's called "Starcraft Master," but even bronze players can beat it in one day. Makes sense

I cant beat lvl 30, i guess my ping is too high, takes 2 years to drop the tank after i click on the icon, fucking joke.

Got the last stalker to 12 hp a couple times but cant seem to finish it

Just spent an hour to finish Starcraft Master.

Some easy stuff, and some excruciatingly hard stuff. All the while, I thought in my mind that though these tricks are cute, in practice I would probably spend my focus macroing up a huge army rather than doing a ton of cute micro tricks.

Anyways, it is truly a satisfying feeling when you finish some of the harder levels with only one shot away from death, like the Banshee level or the Tank drop one.

I fist pumped the air for several minutes after finishing that dreaded level 30. Feels good, man.

i was somewhat disappointed, being a zerg and finding mostly toss/terran challenges. I really enjoyed the banshee one, the other ones were kinda meh. When i finally beat the banshee one (with so many trys where the banshee died together with the last marine -.-) i finally managed to do it and still had half hp on my banshee.
Also the one with phoenix, stalker and HT was funny since there were several options to beat this, as in either kill the tanks and clean up with stalker/archon, or kill the vikings and clean up with phoenix/archon
but yeah, i wish it had more zerg challenges (broodlords kiting stalker, real zergling (+baneling) micro (the bling challenge was a joke, retreat your zerglings, blow up everything with 2 groups of 2 banelings each, all zerglings of you survive, you win), baneling drops, flanks, neural parasite, storm dodging, stutterstep zergling vs stutterstep marine/zealot, slow ling vs reaper, muta vs marines/thors, army splitting vs tanks, drone vs marine micro etc pp)
there is so much they could have done with zerg micro instead of just those 5 more or less lousy ones (both involving infestor were okay)

also 2 marines vs 1 zealot and then 3 marines vs 2 zealots was ridiculous. It is basically the same, just that you have to micro better at the second challenge (or use magic box movement, mark both the marines on the sides, let them both move in circles with the same mouse click by never clicking in between them. They stay in formation and it is really easy that way)

The problem with a mod like this is most of the people still playing are hardcore and this stuff is too easy.

i dont know why sooo many people complain.... i mean for me it was quite easy too but u have to think that there are so many players that are not able to get this picture because they play less or more casual, even with guides!
And blizzard only has the normal AI to play vs us, so u cant expect some ultra difficult micro wars. there are plenty of other maps ( e.g. the micro race by morrow ) which are way harder to finish, play these instead or play micro tournament with ur friends.
Blizzard did a good job with the map and the picture imo!
