Like the Ghost and MULE changes, the Phoenix one seems kinda weird, if i had a fleet beacon i would just go for a mothership, vortex them in and surround the vortex with blinkstalkers, i feel like this comes a bit to late. I would appreciate the range upgrade on the cybernetics core, would be rather useful there.

Hmm I welcome these changes. I was never good with snipe, I lost too many ghosts to missclicking when trying to spam it v BL.

For the snipe change, I think it would've been better to add a cooldown (let's say 5 seconds) instead of changing it's damage. This will require slightly more micro as you cannot spam the spell anymore and the cooldown will at least give the Zerg to do some damage.

i really like they way you have managed this patch its still to see hoe badly it nerfes terran in tvz late game but i would just like to know what blizzard stance are on the whole scroll click issue

Can't wait to see how these play out. Overall, I think Blizz did a solid job with this patch (I've had a hard time saying that in the past). Especially interested to see how late game ZvT plays out now (...necessary snipe nerf imho).

The reason for the Snipe change seems entirely loose. It's as if when they were conceiving it, they didn't consider the fact that:
t3 zerg forces Ghosts > Ghosts are bad vs t1 units (due to the swarm of units) > let alone Overlord Drops and Nydus Worms

Why doesn't Zerg:
Build Infestor/BL (banking resources) See Ghost production > Drop Nydus Network > Use t3 Army to kill Vikings/Tanks/Thors
Max on Zerglings > Rally into Nydus > Nydus every base.

EDIT: All this means is that Ghosts won't be used as much, leaving many more resources for Terran to drop everywhere with Hellions and Marines while you have a slow t3 Army. If Terran doesn't do enough damage with this, he loses.

190 snipes to kill 10 ultralisks... i would have been totally fine with a smaller nerf but this just seems a little too harsh to us terran folk. excited to see how the metagame plays out though.

And if you look at that exact same picture, you'll see it's slowly balancing out. But this patch is just going to flip that around, unless every Terran goes back to 2 base all ins. Is that what we really want?

Mules need to cost 1 supply. The problem is not high mineral field but the end game with mass com sat.

In beta: stim was much shorter to make, marauders came with concussive shells standard. Reactors built as long as tech labs, tanks did more damage in siege mode and prolly more I'm forgetting.

Basically the race was super OP but noone there to abuse it. Then the koreans came and micro developed and we've been getting boots up our asses since beta every patch.

To be fair, I've seen MVP do that on Daybreak and Antiga cross position. He's the only one to do it consistently though.

You will be eaten alive, because you don't know what you are talking about and you write like you ate all wisdom there is in sc2..


Cloak ghost... run towards SLOWLY moving broodlords. If you can't see infestors scan... you can now see burrowed and a lot more... find infestors.... queue up snipes... goodbye infestors. They can't fungal ghosts when they get sniped. A zerg would have to see you coming and have taken plenty of steps to prevent that. At the same time vikings can be pot shotting the broodlords and forcing infestors to come to the front. This forces the infestors forward and makes them easy targets for cloaked ghosts.

There is nothing wrong with this scenario. I have seen it happen in many tvz games just with usually ghosts sniping EVERYTHING. Now they can snipe infestors then burn energy to lower broodlord hp if they want. But not quite so stupidly op as it was. Being able to queue up snipe on a unit means the zerg has no time to react. The broodlords just evaporate. At least now you run some risk as a terran from broodlords.

Also you would usually have tanks that can fire over the ghosts if the zerg is close to your line... infestors don't last long against tanks. And neither do lings or banelings.
